Found the cabin of browns park lost loot 28k double eagles

I am a new member and just finished reading this thread. Amazing is the only word that can describe this. I guess I have the "fever" as I have been researching various treasures and working on which one would be the best use of time and resources. I had not heard of this one until now but I am very interested in helping out in this one or any treasure hunt. I need experience and I have the resources and time to be able to assist other veteran hunters or others and I can dig a good bit since I am in good physical condition. Is 2010 the year that this treasure is found? It would be great to be a small part of that or any other find. Its what every treasure hunter works for. Seems like every few years this cabin gets "found".

28,000 double eagles would be a little "north" of 1,500 pounds. Quite a little weight for a group of outlaws to manhandle. As KVM used to write," the sum gets bigger with the telling." 280 double eagles would be believable. 2,800 would be stretching it a might, but still in the realm of possibility. But, 28,000 is a might LARGE for belief.
 

So I'm in in CO, anybody interested in putting the pieces together and go find this and split it up?
 

This is a very interesting treasure legend and the thread is now legendary as well. If the original poster is interested, I would like to propose that anyone who is serious about finding this treasure agree to sign off on an agreement to share the treasure and we all meet up there this summer with our detectors and digging tools and find this thing or find out its not there. After 5 years you should be about ready to finish this, eh Rutnbuck? :hello:

I DONT KNOW ABOUT ANYONE ELSE, BUT IF I HAD SOMEONE WITH A BIG UNIT TELLING ME WHERE THERE IS GOLD IN A PARTICULAR AREA I WOULDNT BE COMING DOWN OFF THAT MOUNTAIN TILL I HAD A 50 FT. HOLE DUG IF NEED BE....SOUNDS LIKE THERES PLENTY OF FRESH WATER AND ELK TO EAT...
 

I dont know about any double eagles but poking around that country is a reward in itself.
There are many pleasant surprises in what can be found out there.
 

Hope Bills back is getting better. :( He should have known better than to try and carry all that gold out in one trip. ;D

Seriuosly though, hope he is doing good. Been there myself. :P

wow just cking on my old post cant belive that this is still going on and as far as i can tell the gold is or may still be there whats up with that? ??? ok were is browns mtn i will let a sleeping dog sleep and i will go for the hunt will need someone to help with it, due to the fact that i will be starting from scratch were the cabin is etc. its time that someone found it and I have sat back long enough whos in

Enough already. You guys think you know everything. Ha (not) Do you know where the cabin is. I don't think so. LOL
Any way new news. I was going to prolong suspense by not posting but wth. I do have new info. I talked with James Fariello he has a ton of history on the cabin. He told of a couple guys that went looking for it years ago. Those who don't know James well he has wrote many of treasure book and has done a ton of research on the cabin. Any way we are going to try and meet up there this fall. He will be coming to the area to hunt. I don't know who knows more about it now me or him but he talks a lot more then I do! We could talk non stop for a month. Ya know like (women). What is interesting is that what I told him about the finds and what he has researched are like the same thing.
I have a couple detectors now!!! I should be able to locate gold from here to Canada with out leaving my living room. My buddy Bill who originally found the cabin is hunting up there as I type this. I am not sure if he will make it to the cabin site. But I will try and rendezvous with him on the week of Sept. 15. He however has a Mental Disability that lasts about a month out of the year. Ya know he is an Elkoholic.
 

This is has been a cool hunt story and I plan to keep an eye on it. Good luck and stafe safe but go find it and get us some pic's please.
