Found the cabin of browns park lost loot 28k double eagles

Hi bomber,not sure what the laws are there but the lack of info,pics and maps ,i not sure what to think.YOU are right on thing, where ever you are the "law is the law"

You know all ...with all the gold and such that is
buried in ground and under water that the Government
protects ...question????????????

Why then don't the Government let those that are willing to
go for it and the Government pay them 1/2 or more so the
Government can get us out of debt and the ones finding
the money are better off than before.

Sometimes I feel like take it and run...thats what the Government
makes people do because of the small way thinking they have of
doing things.

The US coiled be debt free if they would get what is here already
instead of these games they play with the rules and the people
that have to pay the taxes.

Good people stopped by bad LAWS.

Rep's or Dem's, Conserv's or Lib's, it doesn't matter. They don't want to do the work but want to reap the rewards. That's the bottom line. If you come into a large sum they want to knock it down and keep half. It doesn't matter if you dig it up, make it working, or hit the lotto. I have heard the only exception is maritime treasure. It's yours, but I think if you realize any financial gain (ie sell it, sell the story etc...), they want half. rat B@$^@&ds...but hey, those 28K double eagles would be a nice find and if I was this guy I wouldn't post a thing when I found em (unless of course I stood to make more with a story in W&E Treasures). Otherwise they go in the safe deposit box to give to the kids as inheritance (hehehe...untaxed under a certain amount I think).

If it were government property at one time and it is now on your land and you claimed you found it and you showed proof then they would come and take it from you. what's their's is their's and what's your's is mostly their's. as far as i am concerned the government is full of shit. the dictatorial way we get pushed around as a society is part of the reason why it is so hated among its constituents. if i pay tax money to those ingrates to help preserve something then i should have a certain entitlement to its use, under certain rules of course. until a large scale revolt of the people, over the rules, happens then we are all doomed to being forced into giving our money away and being banned/barred from using it as we please.

as I have said before, the government will not sponsor such childhood whims and delights as treasure hunting. in the public eye it would be a waste of taxpayer resources. nor will they allow you to do such on "their" land. should you, however, find something then it automatically reverts to "their" ownership. There happens to be tons of gold buried in and around particular cities throughout this great nation. Getting the suits to posse up with you is an improbability and most likely and impossibility.

If you find it. Just shut up about it if it was obtained illegally. The glory of treasure hunting will reach it's epiphony for you when you find something that has been sought after for so long by so many. There will be no glory if you are in jail.

If it was me, and I am not exactly sure how this works but, and I found what you are looking for, I would simply asked to purchase the mineral rights to that area, without ever mentioning your finds or intentions. I am sure the government would love to make a few bucks off the place. As I understand gold falls into that category. If man-minted coinage does/does not fall into a specific category in the mineral right rules I would ask an attorney about the probability of making off with all those eagles as free and clear, know what I mean?

Just a thought.

Hey Rutnbuck, I have a White's MXT with 3 coils and Fisher Gemini 3 two box detector. I live in Colorado Springs. I grew up in Green River, WYO. My sister lives in Rock Springs, WYO. I also lived in Vernal, UT for a time back in the late 80's. I'm familiar with the outlaw loot story of Brown's Hole. soulofawolf, ,,,Thats not true about a seadiver, I dive and if I find something. its keep my mouth shut or the feds and government wants a percentage and wants to know where it was found .. so I never tell anybody .. It holds true to detecting,, NEVER tell authorities about what you find, They want a percentage or all, ,screw them, they don't have the nut to go look, we do ,,,Finders keepers is what I say ..

Correct. We are all just squirrels trying to get a nut and the govt wants to take half of the ones we get without doing the work.

Hello All
Just wanted to touch bases. I have been working away on research! I have come up with some interesting stories. However not to much new on the stories. However I have been practicing with the Whites MD. I found some kewl stuff. Went to the beach at one of the local resevores. They have drained it to make repairs. Well the swim beach is just full of stuff. I am chomping at the bit!! To get up to the cabin site. Waiting for the snow and the weather to settle.

It's been a year and a half. For God's sake, give the lead to someone who has the time and equipment that is willing to work with you on a split!!!!!!! Shoot, I'd make the trip from South Carolina with all my equipment and search team.

That's what I figure. Either the whole thing is BS or he found them and is zipping the lips. 1st if I had a lead on a cache of 28K double eagles I wouldn't say boo about it. I double eagles are one of those things Uncle Sam is interested in if people have a large amount of them whether they sell them or not. Especially stolen ones.
 

If I found something of this nature I'd do the following:
A) Keep my mouth shut about it until after "B"
B) Contact a lawyer who has experience in this sort of thing.

Yes, lawyers are going to cost money, maybe even a percentage, but if it keeps my "butt" of jail and allows me to not have to look over my shoulder I'd say it would be money well spent!

Good luck offloading those things all at once without attracting the attention of the FBI. I would bet my life that if someone dumped a boatload of double eagles like that, the FBI would be knocking on their door (if they could be found) really quick.

What is the point of discovering a huge cache like this if you are going to be paranoid that the govt is going to be breathing down your back?

I don't mean to scare anyone away, but what would be the point of discovering a large cache when you aren't even free to disperse it how you see fit?? "You" do all the legwork, "you" do all the reasearch, "you" put in your blood and sweat, the "they" end up taking most, if not all, of it. How is THAT freedom? >:(
