Superb finds!

I'm thinking the shield is too strong to be a '16, but if you'd like I can post a pic on the PCGS forum for the guys to review. It'd save you sending it out.

VERY sweet recovery!

It really pays to dig those overload targets!. . . by the conditon of the coins, they could have been buried from the 1940's & later.

Awesome find

(your recovery brings us all hope :icon_sunny:)

Awesome cache, Tony! Congrats on your haul! This is truley an banner find! Wish I could have been there with you. We'll have to check the weather on the weekend...

Congradulations and welcome to the cache club !! Quite a feeling when you figure out what you found isn't it ! A Day and a feeling you will never forget ! Ground bankers usually do not put all there eggs in one basket . I eventually found a second cache on my site ! I feel sorry for any piece of metal in the ground at your foundation site ;D ;D Have fun out there and congradulation again ! MaineRelic. Oh yeah ! BANNER :icon_salut: :icon_salut:

Congradulations on the very nice find.... this is what gets everyone going when detecting!!!
Good to know there are still some caches being discovered.
Good idea about keeping the coins in the jar you found them in.
Lots of memories for down the road when you look at that jar.
Thanks for the great post,
Felix
