Tony,
Congrats on the stash! I found my first cache when I was 15 years old just off our carport about a foot. It was a small jar filled with silver dimes quarters and halfs. No doubt buried by the previous owner. My older sister saw what I found and went out and got her own detector. Her first finds were a man's 14K gold garnet ring and a real loaded 38 cal. pistol buried in the rock garden. Always good to hunt your own yard first! It's a shame I couldn't have documented the cache find for you with the cam and some HD video. Maybe when we hunt VA at the end of the month we will document some live finds!

Tony, I guess you don't need those rolls of late 1800's silver coins you were asking for 2 weeks ago.

Yea i cant wait, i hope the ground isn't Frozen down there by then. See you on Jan.28th HH

A big congrats on the cache of silver! Was it inside something? A little more detail about the find would be interesting. HH, Mike

Nice jar of old silver coins. I have found eight or more old zinc jar lids and two had an inch of the green jar still attached.

I was thinking someone beat me to the cache allready and put the lid back in the hole.

When I hunt arrowheads it is easy to snap pictures in the field. When I metal detect I have not been to successful in carrying around a camera. Maybe it's cause I dig 100 junk holes for every one good item. I do keep a camera in the truck for that just in case scenerio. Nice bunch of coins anyway you look at it. Congratulations on your Cache.

:hello2: Hey Tony, I can tell you for sure, what an awesome find and feeling you got going and it seems you are taking it well, better than I did. I can and do believe every word you are saying, just by the way you are saying it. I to a couple of months ago found a cache of a lifetime, one I will never forget, banner or no banner. I was so happy after all the years of finding just small things and a few nice keepers through the years that it was well deserved. In fact I was so happy I shared it with everyone here on T-net so they could enjoy it with me as well. It was an old Ball jar with 32 old coins inside of it, from Indian Head pennies to Silver dollars, with some type of lard or grease of somekind on them and wrapped in wax paper, then sealed in the jar. That lasted, I'm told about one hour after I made banner, then it was pulled. Why? I still am at a loss. I've read the authenticity rule they posted and others have shown me and I don't see anything that disqualified me or you in any way. But it started just as yours is, a few non-beleivers and thier comments, is all it took to get it pulled from the Banner. Afterwards I was so upset and voiced my opinion that they pulled my entire comment, story and pictures of my find. I can only assume because it was getting to much attention and the comments just kept coming in supporting my find. After that there was nothing to comment to, because it was all pulled. I still feel Jeff and others need to re-consider and post it back on the net. Or at least allow me to put it back on the site with a picture of my find. I made the mistake to of cleaning and then posting, then showing where and how I found it and even told them it was done this way. Anyway, great find, keep at it, there is more there to be found. I have found a thing or two since, but have decided not to post it for now. Good luck to you, Ken. :hello2:

Tony! Congrats! :headbang:

Sweet find! I've been hunting for 4 years and haven't found a cache yet.

Apparently, some of the other kids are just jealous. Not your problem.

Again, congrats!
