DO TREASURES HAVE REAL SPIRITS

Hi Trappergirl, Good to see you at the fire, we tried to keep your rustic decorations in good shape:icon_thumleft: Good thing this camp isn't on the Atlantic, where the sea bombers roam, tho' we do have Good spirits, and galloping wild ghost horses in the winds... If there's any of your coffee left, por favor, I'll take a cup. Gonna have to get fired up, to to go back to testing, and get this car runnin'...
. Howdy, Cosse. So nice to be back. Thanks for keeping my spot! Coffee is starting to boil and getting ready for a story! Do you have any??? :)

So that's what's happening to me when I drink sometimes passing out, vapor lock!:BangHead: How can I avoid this :cross:, am I running to rich, or to lean? :dontknow:

Well, I guess as long as you're doing it (vapor lock) at home, and you don't kick the dog and
fight with your wife, or gripe at the kids, just fall asleep watching the news and weather, in your
chair, and get up and go to work. Not burning any holes in pistons or valves, and all. It helps to
drink lots of water, so you may stay lively, and flexible, without drying out kinda' like
an old dead tree. :laughing7:

I caught that you had worked for CAT, so my pittley Honda stuff, is Elementary,
though somewhat complex, with all of the gizmos they put on them now' days.
But, you might want to lean her back, after you get much over 50 light yers,
just a thought. :icon_scratch:

Maybe if you chill a little more, lay off the beans and salsa, won't be so vapory? :tongue3: :laughing7:
Otherwise, if you're up an' runnin', must be doin' all the good... 8-) ...:cross:

Corozone de Oro: Vapor lock, caused by heat, so just be your usual 'chaste' self while boozing ( 5 :coffee2: of coffee, my usual med fee is an even dozen )

Don Jose, Amigo
Med fee? Only an even dozen He He He, another outrageous Dr. bill...:laughing7:
Worth it I guess, if you dig out bullets, and stitch up knife wounds. :cross:

Trappergirl, Awesome!

Real good to have a cup or two of your gourmet roasted,
and we'll cook up a breakfast bite directly. As far as a good story...

Then I went through several bags of quilt scraps, all kinds of material she had kept,
for years, maybe some had been left over, and placed in stacks or rolls, groups,
or whatever, in paper grocery bags, several of them. It was mostly old polyester
types of stuff, some solid, and some with textures and lines, or multiple
colors, large pieces that appeared to be left over cutoffs, plenty big
enough, to cut a lot of pieces for a few quilts...

All of a sudden, when I was running my hand down into one bag,
down under the material, I felt a little metal box, and said bingo,
as I pulled it out. It was an old Sucrets tin, and it was full of
old coins. There were buffalos, and wheats, a two-pence,
maybe a few dimes, and several various foreign coins.

Nothing of any real high value, but a really neat little
treasure surprise, that I had never seen before, had not
known of, or heard about, that I will always prize... :cross:

Oh, Crosse. Your family tales RULE! I just like them so much. Thank you for sharing. I understand the feeling of finding those special treasures, too. We just renovated our cabin in New Mexico, where I had kept most of my most sentimental things that I had before I married, many moons ago. I was very close to my Grandma, and we were just like sisters. She was my ultimate buddy, and I still think of her all the time. Anyway, I was given a box of her favorite things while she alive. They wouldn't mean much to anyone else, as they were not of any monetary value. I had gone through that box countless times, but strangely missed something. Among the things in the box, were her sewing kit. Her favorite scissors were there which I remember her cutting hundreds of threads, along with those were handmade pieces of lace, assorted cute buttons, little unique fabric scraps and so on. In July, I sorted out my things, after many years. I went through her box. Everything was there, but I found something I did not recall. It too, was a tin! With five gold and sterling thimbles. One had a dove etched into it, and he others had been scrolled with little designs. Again, just little things, but little things that mean a whole lot... especially when you least expect them, right? Now, what's for dinner???

Howdy, Trappergirl:

An Etched Dove: The Dove is a powerful
representative of Spiritual Comfort, and Peace...

Yes, Awesome personal story! Especially, "when you really, least
expect them". You are way too kind, and it's always appreciated, to
share special times, though maybe elementary, or simplistic in nature.
Then to have someone of extraordinary character, to relate an awesome,
even similar personal experience, just really made my day, thanks very kindly.

Naturally, I will try to think of some more good stories, of those of my folks.
There are some things that they did, that were truly patriotic, and then they also knew,
many of the serious challenges of their times. They were, and are, True Patriotic Americans...

Dinner? Sorry, I was out hunting last night, would some venison tender loin work,
tenderized, custom seasoned, and cooked to order, if you like? Or fresh Bass and Crappie,
caught early this morning...

Thanks, Crosse :cross:

coazon de oro;

Oh well, what do I really know, anyway?
I tripped over the dogs, the wife yelled at me,
and I had to make an extra trip for milk I forgot.
Guess my brain just got flooded, then vapor locked:dontknow:... :cross:

:coffee2::coffee2::coffee2::coffee2::coffee2: Thanks Don Quacko De Tayopa :duckie:, but I found out it was my black hat, and the hot sun to be problem.

I will take the venison. Wow. Roughing it, turns out, is pretty darn sweet. Thanks! And, many thanks for the awesome tales and kind words.

Howdy, Trappergirl:

Thank You, For your Kind Words,
and your Great Stories. The things that we
have been given, or have found, of our close
family members, are about way more than money...

The cool memories that are so etched deep in our minds,
part of how we think, and who we are, that can be priceless.

Hope you enjoy the gourmet country venison, salad of your choice,
fresh baked 17 grain bread, cajun vegetable soup, and other camp goodies.
I think maybe I can remember a little something else about Grandma, directly.

Thanks again, for the custom made gourmet
coffee, have a super good day... :cross:

. You have to sweep up the campsite and make it look really pretty ( or, better word, rustic and manly) :) and then, you might just get a nice oak-fired reward Don Jose'. Here's the broom. Your turn!

Oh, I forgot. And, you must share another story. How about the one where the Tayopa is located? Laughing.

Doc Don Jose, Mi Good Amigo:

You are very funny. :laughing7:
There's your answer, in her nice post...

A positive response post, and sharing a similar close
personal family treasure story, then politely asking,
"Now, what's for dinner?"

We try to do good, on camp hospitality, especially family...
You know you're most welcome Doc D.J., and your cabin is
always ready and waiting, ready for dinner directly?... :cross:
