Basic signs and symbols you have found

Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found

Very nicely done Kim,
I especially like what you did with the first picture.

Personally I would be most interested in the area eround the dark (shadow) square.
that is the best marker I see in these pictures.

I would also check out the area that involves the hole ...
this shallow depression is a man made thing and should give up a couple good things.

Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found

Edong ,

Sorry to have been away so long.
I think you may have a series of numbers here.

Maybe written in roman numerals. seriously weathered.

I made negative images and some of the marks show up better as well as other things.
there are some other marks on this that I find questionable.

Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found

I sure do wish folks would leave the posts up.
it makes the information in the thread relavant.

Thom

AM update
I went in this morning and have cleaned it all up some.
there are other posts on here that could be taken out as well.
but after reading the entire thread I find it does make some sense now.

Thanks all for posting
Thom

yeah, kinda hard to make sense of what is being taught if the illustration or explanation are no longer there. ::)

Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found

I managed to get out for a couple hours last week and got on a trail that has been long neglected.
Following is hard as the landscape is very uniform in it's appearance... almost lunar.

Once into it he trail became evident and the signs jump out.
Here are a few that stand out and a nice campsite area as marked by the very large 7 on a cliff face.

A very prominent propped up trail pointer.

Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found

Here is a tree that was cut and trimmed , then wedged in a crack to point out a fork in the trail offering two seperate ways to go.
One high and the other low and up the canyon.
This has been here for a couple hundred years.

Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found

After following the lower trail for a couple miles I backtracked and decided to follow the upper one a ways.
Here is the group of markers that lead a tracker out of the canyon.

The trail becomes obvious if you study the pictures.

I'm a newbie, but has anyone ever found a turtle head with not shell of feet? If so what does it mean?

Welcome to T-Net !
To answer the question I would like to see a picture of the turtle head.
We have several that mean different things .

First you need to determine if it is a turtle head...show me a picture please.

After that there are factors that need to be seen to assign a meaning.
one of the biggest determining factors is the eyes,
are they open or closed.
If open what is he looking at?
if closed... another story.

first find out if it is a not a natural phenom.

Welcome and thanks for posting here.
I look forward to your picture.

Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found

With all the questions about drill holes lately ...
I thought I would share a picture that has both natural and drilled holes together.

I know, don't ask.
I will be the first to say ...I am not sure about this one myself.
we are at the moment working on the distances trying to figure out which holes are the critical ones.

Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found

The way it is mapped out is reversed,
it shows the trail as it progresses from this point.
as you can see the next marker is under the trees ahead in the shade.

It is the top marker on the sign.
progress from there
The red and yellow marks are the false trails

Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found

This thread has been fantastic.

When i go walking now i see more, and notice things that i have passed and not given a second thought to,

I put this down to studying all your photos, perhaps a sort of brain training as a result.

Thanks Old Dog and everyone else.
