Don Jose de La Mancha

Hola My most esteemed amigo,
That old girl is Brooke, a most loyal friend.
She loves everyone, especially if they throw something for her to chase after.

As of late it has been Yes mam, No mam and No excuse mam ... LOL

And that's probably times 2, right?? LOL

Maybe this will make you fell better.

See the pretty woman in the shade? The heart and the cross? I sure forget my pain, and Im still pulling out cactus stickers as I wasnt watching where I was walking.

Yes, just a trail sign.
Best followed by using the bow and arrow method.
Follow the flight of the arrow.

Brooke said that she would make sure to have me make a pot of good coffee and BBQ up a half of a pig if you came up to see her.
Shoot, we could even go out and walk Crossbow Canyon If you feel like it.

That's her choice.

You're welcome anytime old friend.

Mdog,
I would have to see in what context it is written.
It could be modern graffiti or it could be Spanish.
can you post a picture? What other stuff is around?

A pic would be nice and know what state it is in.

Hi Mintres, I ended up in a mine today. It didnt appear it had been occupied in years. You said you found empty holes, yes I did find a few. Side of the rock things. I need to know if the mine is worth exploring, what was the orange thins in the floor? What was the statue of the monkey about? There also was some drawings on the walls.......was you able to check the small hills in front of the site? It also had trails to the Organs. There is still a cave, and a vault. You dont have to share notes. Just a few questions that you may know.

Morning Thom on your post # 2252 the heart has 3 intentions in the lower part of the V , the top part you used different size line, was you indicating the letter 3, do you think the trail can be followed both ways, does the lower portion indicate 1/2 of a triangle ( diamond )or 1 1/4 mile, or 6600 feet. Hope everything is well with you and your family.

Good morning Ernie.
The distance mark i in the center of the heart it indicates 1,000 feet.

The sign legend in the corner (in red) tells the story
First sign is feet
second sign is 1,000 (for each little arched mark)
combination sign ... third sign = 1,000 feet

Not sure why, but my keyboard is unresponsive when I try to reply on this site only.

Anyway,
it has finally happened, I have become as redundant as the Spanish !!

LMAO

Thom

What! Your double post is gone, if that is what happened.. Hardly redundant if anything else. Redundant OldDogs are good. Think of all the honeydo's you can get done. As a woman I heartily endorse the idea on behalf of all women.. ;D. ;D ;D

I wonder if this is a good example of stump lore.

Long ago and far away stumps with stones were mentioned. Perhaps this is an example.

It so happens this is on top of a hill with far views in all directions..oh say 5-30 miles. I could make out 3-4 trails..they may grow over a little but in this seemingly sere and arid land the foot steps of travelers linger on. The traces that denote struggle of lives, travels, a gladdening of countenance as weary faces turn toward homes. Those are the ones I could "see".

Would this be what you are referring to re stones in stumps? If so does it then refer to local information?

Desertmoons;
In your 5th photo, is that a steel piece sticking out of the near end of the cut branch or is it a stick propped up against it?
