Again, I ask you to bust me. Again, for example, why do Europeans live longer than we do? This has nothing to do with car manufacturers. Where are they moving to? Name me a place please. Again when was the last school massacre in Europe? When did I say there are no ghettos in Europe? Where did you get that 24,000 people will die of cold in Britain this winter? Where did you get that 50% of young people are unemployed in Europe? "Guess that kinda happens when your guaranteed employment for life even if your an unproductive and lazy because you think your "ENTITLED" to a living" So a retired person should die or ive on the streets because they can't work? Waiting. This should be good!:hello2: Also, your boy Tesla, wasn't he Serbian? The same people who killed 130,000+ people because of religion in the 1990s?

Don't worry, this too will pass. When the governments shut down from stupid programs where you are punished when you are productive, rewarded when you are not, told that the state owes you a living, and told that those who have only got it by stealing from you ... well, you folks will make Uganda look like Eden.

Have you ever heard the word "Unsustainable"? The picture in Websters should be Greece. Portugal is close on her heels as is most of the EU. If it weren't so desperate there, it would be funny as hell because Germany is keeping the rest of the EU afloat. A lot of that is due to the hard work of German people who had already "enjoyed" the socialist lie and wanted something better.

Just wait until them folks make today's Malawi look like a good alternative ... it's going to hit as hard as a freight train, and people will die because there won't be any more "other people's money" to spend.

You wouldn't like to see the American economy as strong as Norway? Sweden? Denmark?

How about a health care system as successful as Finland?

All three are in the top 10 most socialist countries in the world.

Below, you will see some of the most socialistic nations in the world today:

China
Denmark
Finland
Netherlands
Canada
Sweden
Norway
Ireland
New Zealand
Belgium

http://blog.peerform.com/top-ten-most-socialist-countries-in-the-world/

Norway Sweden and Denmark are all heavily taxed. Sweden is a welfare state, Norway has heavy state-ownership in strategic areas of the economy.

Sweden is a universal welfare state financed through relatively high income taxes. Tax rate of 29-35%.

Norway has heavy state-ownership in strategic areas of the economy.

Norway is also heavily taxed.

Denmark unemployment is 7.1% with people under 25 at 13.5%.

Denmark economy is heavily dependent on oil from North Sea as the price of oil moves so does its economy.

Not sure what your love for and infatuation is with Socialism is but my family and forefathers did not serve and have not fought in major wars to build a socialist country....

We will NOT go quitely into the night!

Old Bookaroo, I'll be happy to have more socialism when the budget is balanced, and the future benefits that have been promised are fully funded. I assume that will be about 1,000 years from now...maybe. No person of even modest intelligence can believe this economy can keep doing what it's been doing...surviving on borrowed, or printed, money. And, when it finally does what it's destined to do, we'll be lucky not to end up under tyranny. Until then, I'll keep fighting to go back to what built this country in the first place.....constitutional law.....NOT the law of men.
Jim

You asked for it, so let's go to school.

Why do they live longer? The quality of food, PERIOD. I seem to remember when I was IN Europe a lot of Farmer's Markets where I could buy fresh produce all the time. Try that here is about 98% of this country and you have the EPA, FDA, IRS, and a whole lot of other alphabet soup agencies wanting to give you a body cavity search.

On the automotive thing: Charleston Regional Business Journal | Charleston, SC

The school "massacre " thing:, kinda funny you want to use that. maybe you need to read a little more, Junior. Top 10 Worst School Massacres - Listverse
Kinda sad the area you most want to be like has had some of the worst school massacres in history.

The ghetto thing comes from you saying the Europeans have a much higher standard of living than we do. Guess when your a liberal nut espousing how great Europe is, the European ghettos don't matter, only the ghettos here matter.

The 24,000 thing: Fuel poverty Britain: 24k will die this winter due to rising energy prices | Mail Online
It gets tough when you have to make a choice between eating and staying arm. Give you a little secret about surviving cold, the colder it is, the more FAT calories you need to eat to survive the cold weather.

Don't try and twist the retirement thing. I NEVER said a RETIERD person should die or live in the street. They EARNED their right to be supported. Much like Social Security in this country was supposed to be. YOU want to blame somebody for the collapse of SS, blame Lyndon B. Johnson, a democrat, who put that money in the General Fund to support the Vietnam War and his social engineering programs. I leave it up to YOU to prove me wrong IF you can.

And about Tesla being Serbian, if that is the best you got, don't even try.
Now, Mad...there you go again....screwing up a perfectly useful line of liberal BS with the truth....how dare you!...LOL

Treasure Hunter:

You are completely mistaken when you claim I either love or am infatuated with socialism.

Jim in Idaho's statements about Europe were not correct. As I wrote to Dave44, it's a serious error to presume that if I state a fact I personally support the philosophy behind it.

Good luck to all,

OB so what is it your wanting to emulate of Norway, Sweden and Denmark, the high taxes, welfare, socialism or what.....

We will NOT go quitely into the night!

Treasure Hunter:

Where did I write that I wanted to emulate those nations and their economic and political systems?

In the years since the American Revolution, there have been dozens of other revolutions in countries around the world.

None of those have resulted in another nation like ours. Zero. We are unique.

That does not mean we can't learn from other countries. I venture to state Justice Clarence Thomas quotes foreign law in his opinions more than any other justice on the Court.

To argue "socialism has never worked anywhere it has been tried" is flat-line brain dead. It has.

Does not mean it would work here? Personally, I don't think so. The point is moot, however, because no major political figure in the US of A is pushing to install it.

Good luck to all,

~The Old Bookaroo

TH, What booky is saying is, Don't look at what he types here, He stands for nothing but the argument.
It is a great tactic, all in all. But it's reward is irrelevance.

An example of a tenet he claims not to have. He has been researching it for 14 hrs so he is pretty tired, but he is trying to find a way to defend the indefensible.

I expect he will bring it up next week on some new thread about the Chinese economic structure.

Treasure Hunter:

Scare tactics have been in use for generations. President Reagan peddled them, as well.

Heck, back in about 1916 the US was ready to actually move forward with a national health insurance program that made sense. Then the reactionaries came out with "Don't buy into a German insurance plan! If the Kaiser likes it you shouldn't."

As previously noted, the first Federal government mandate to employers forcing them to purchase health insurance for their employees was in 1798 - passed by many of the Founding Fathers and signed, I believe, by John Adams.

Good luck to all,

~The Old Bookaroo

Treasure Hunter:

You may find Jim "The Stupidest Man on the Internet" Hoft to be a reliable source. I certainly don't. And I don't believe that Lenin quote. Heck, I don't think John Lennon said it, either.

Good luck to all,

~The Old Bookaroo

Treasure Hunter:

It's fact.

Do you REALLY believe fanatically right wing and proven wrong countless times Jim Hoft?

Good luck to all,

~The Old Bookaroo

Dave44:

Do the research. The facts are out there.

Since you immediately dismiss or ignore or attempt to deflect the many links I've already posted here on TN - to what purpose would I do that again?

Good luck to all,

~The Old Bookaroo

A lot of opinions and assertions that I guess we should believe because the weight of the Bookyroo is behind them. Tell me more about the healthcare savior of 1916 please..

Wait a minute,, do you hear that? I think it says... Short on facts, facts, facts.

Your failure to accurately summarize my posts continues.

Happily, they are written in simple English. There is no reason for any person here on TN to depend on your twisted versions.

1916. 1916, 1916, 1916, 1916. Hero to Booky, the left I mean. We coulda had it all if only that guy didn't have to deal with republicans.

Why do Europeans live longer. Food they eat.. Americans need to stop eating so much fast foods and eat more fresh vegetables.

"More than two thirds of United States citizens are overweight – 33% being obese.32% of children are either obese or overweight.

43% of Americans are projected to be obese in 10 years. After smoking, obesity is America’s biggest cause of premature death and is linked to 70% of heart disease and 80% of diabetes cases and 41% of Americans are projected to get cancer."

How Food Companies Exploit Americans - 100 Days of Real Food

I agree with that - it has nothing to do with the Socialist health care system in Europe.

I would love to be able to east fresh vegetables, but the guy down the block did it and the EPA, FDA, IRS, and a whole lot of other alphabet soup agencies gave him a body cavity search.

I'm cowering in terror behind my curtains with my Soviet AK in fear they will find out I ate a green bean.

And don't tell me I can't smoke - it's good for my health.

And most Americans would follow Miley Cyrus, if she jumped off a cliff, like a demon filled pig!
Oh oh, sorry, my mistake........ Obama over the fiscal cliff, like demon-filled pigs! LOL! :laughing7:

Man, I hate how power and greed corrupt! :BangHead: (hate, is not a word I use lightly, either!)

Why is it the left thinks they have the moral right to take money out of our pockets in order to spend it on issues of their choosing.

Last I looked I was the only one signing my time sheet, the only one riding in my truck to the jobs I do, I am the only one installing and repairing the equipment I work on, when I am called at 2 am to go to a customer's site to get their phones back up and working I am alone, no one else is with me then....

You can keep your change, I will keep my God, my Constitution, my guns and my money.......

Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk

It's not about the left. it's about this country acting as one for the betterment of all.

TH, how do you like living in Florida? I was born there, i have a place in Lee County. i love Florida. And that's a good thing. Because as a resident of NJ more of my federal tax dollars support Floridians than they do New Jerseyians. All that economic support coming from me and other residents of donor states helps you keep your taxes low. Much lower than they would be without our help. My money being spent by you( Floridians) for issues of your choosing not mine.

So while your taxes are lower than they should be because you're getting back about 1.39 cents of every tax dollar you send to Washington, my taxes are the second highest in the country because i've got to make up fro the fact that we don't get a free ride. We get back only .77 cents for every dollar we send to Washington. We get only 55% of what you get! WE Libs up here in jersey, not only have to carry our load, but your load too! And while it is anything but fair, you don't hear us whining about it!

Truthfully we are thankful we are not getting all the government we are paying for.

TH, those getting an easier ride by living in recipient states complaining about finally having to share the load equally - how do you think that plays with those of us bearing more than our fair share of the load?

Time is destroying the Talking points of the left. The rhetoric may be helping against a deluge but it doesn't seem to be able to stop the citizenry from learning the truth.

Health Care Law - Rasmussen Reports?
"A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 43% of Likely U.S. Voters now have at least a somewhat favorable opinion of the health care law, while 53% view it at least somewhat unfavorably. The passion remains on the side of the opponents. The new findings include 18% with a Very Favorable view of the law, while 42% have a Very Unfavorable one. (To see survey question wording, click here.) "

LOL! Dave why do you waste your time with this? it doesn't matter what people think today. The law will remain the law and you can bet by this time in 2015 the health care law will be one smoothly operating machine. Accept it !

BTW, since you are opposed to socialism of any kind, you do live in a donor state, right? obviously, you would never accept a free ride, correct?

So, what state do you live in? oh that's right, VA. The state that lost the tea party race! At least you are a donor state, barely!
