All hello from Belarus. Yesterday went in the wood on the old road on which in 1812 in December Napoleon's army receded. Many regimental buttons, the French bayonet a knife and when went already to the car were found found a purse from skin in which there were here these coins.

My buddy Beau and I got out Saturday to try another spot. The research was spot on and the relics could not be much better. There is always satisfaction when research pays off and you can find yourself retracing the footsteps of those 150 years ago. We have had some great luck over the years hunting together, but this one will be towards the top in my memory. The best two finds of the day were the two Enfield Muskets. Mine still has the majority of the stock still intact. We also managed a bayonet each along with bullets. I will post pictures up when the preservation process and...
I am back for new adventures, always with my XP deus.
This time it's amazing, here is a beautiful lost purse of 28 currencies Royal Francaises found this weekend in the woods near a small road between two villages.
You can imagine my joy at the discovery, unforgettable!
The coins are mostly quarter ecu Henri II and Henri III of the 1600 ... a little close ...
Well today was a day of legend. We hit up a spot that Arty is very familiar with and has done good in the past. With a recent deep plow and some nice days of rain this old tired field sprung life again. The day started off well with an indian head in an adjacent field but when we got into this particular field we were like a bunch of kids in a candy store. Button after button just came flowing out of the ground. Most of them were so shallow I just used my pro pointer and my hand to dig them up. This was the case with the FIRST most cherished and coveted of all buttons popped out of the...
My brother, Roz, and I, went to a heavily pounded spot we have been to over the years. Not much happened for about an hour, til I found this little beauty! I wish I had my camera with me, but I didn't. Was found just off the main trail leading to the main cellar hole. It was in such great shape I thought it could be a repro,(which am still unsure of), but all the holes in this area have produced some banner finds including my RIA Belt Tip, and the CFT. KGIII, 25-83-A. This button gave a solid nickel signal, (as did my 85th Reg. Button), at 2-4". Almost didn't dig it as I thought it would...
These are my finds from my first farmers field hunt of the year, toasted coppers are early 18th century Swedish coins and one is Russian Denga from 1731. Silver coin in the middle is Finnish 25 penniä 1867.
Also found interesting looking piece of bronze, looks like a broken part of a old buckle.
Here is the keydate Finnish 25 penniä silver coin from 1867: ...
Hi All,
During the last couple days extra low tides
I've been out hunting an area that my friend theorizes a 17th C wreck took place.
The wreck was recorded, but exact location is not known
Several items found in the vicinity date to the era.
He had previously found a large Onion bottle, This one is small, a little over 5" high,
black glass with orange staining, dates around 1700.
Also a DR. / KILMER?S / SWAMP / ROOT / KIDNEY / LIVER & . BLADDER / REMEDY // DR. KILMER & CO. // BINGHAMTON, N.Y, Note Kidney embossed around text...
Small Disinfectant Bottle,
And a Deep Punt Green Wine Bottle...
This weekends neg low tides got me out with the little one strapped to my back!! Went to Eastern Mountain Sports last week and dropped 200$ on a baby backpack (Deuter)! If I want to detect I'll have to bring the 4 1/2 month old, so I did and I'm soooo glad!!! Any way went to an old beach with history, I've found old coins there before! This time I checked an area that was considered empty of targets. After walking about 1/2 mile with nothing but a few junk tics I thought well maybe I should head back to where I have found some great stuff in the past. Starting back I almost turned off the...
What a night. Went out at dusk to a favorite old park where I've had a lot of luck finding silver over the years. I think the oldest date I've ever seen come out of this area was around the 30's. Lots of Mercs and Washington quarters have come out of this ground.
As it started to get darker I put my headlamp on and picked my way slow and patient around the edges, where, this time of year, most everything is easy to work through. In a month from now these edges will be fully overgrown and impossible to get to.
Managed two Roosies and a 1942 quarter (plus assorted pennies and nickels) in...
