🥇 BANNER 1859D GOLD $1 Woop!

1859D GOLD $1 Woop!
Here ya go, Quindy and Judie. :)
So yesterday after the storms, my buddies and I went out for a hunt. Seems summer is finally coming to an end and we're ready! The temps were perfect and the soil was as soft as sweet potato pie. Tin foil, nails and 22 shells...make sure and dig 'em. ;) About an hour into our hunt and after digging many of the previous mentioned, I got another low reading on my MXT with a loud tone. Four inches down under the roots of a cedar tree. I dig the hole and see a tiny gold looking, round something or other. My first thought was play money? Nah, not here. Then how...

🥇 BANNER Very Scarce MODEL 1839 MEXICAN WAR Officers Shoulder Belt Plate (Variant)

Very Scarce MODEL 1839 MEXICAN WAR Officers Shoulder Belt Plate (Variant)
Hey Guys, this plate was quite a surprise!...I was recently digging an old Dragoons/Cavalry camp that served as an important post during the 1850's and the Civil War...I had a few Eagles in the pouch including some Eagle "D"s but hadn't dug anything a little while. I was going along and had just dug 3 crushed cans in the previous few minutes when I got another signal hitting exactly the same. I popped a plug out alittle quick and haphazardly expecting it to be another crushed flat can but when I popped the plug over something was thrown into the air and was flipping and then landed on the...

🥇 BANNER Its where you end up sometimes

Its where you end up sometimes
It's where you end up sometimes

Sometimes where a hunt begins is not always where it ends. I'll attempt to make this a brief story.
Me and Iron Patch got to kick off our fall hunting today to celebrate his b-day today (ps he's old)lol
We made plans to hunt other areas of a site we discovered years before, it didn't pan out the way we wanted so we hit the road looking for a new spot. After discussing looking at few other old sites we've been to, we noticed a little field that was cut and ready that wasn't one we tried before. I talked to a guy whos family owned the property; he...

Big 1700s silver 8 reale an 5 franc in the woods!!!
Big 1700's silver 8 reale an 5 franc in the woods!!!

Hey everyone!!
Today I had a pretty eventful time in the woods to say the least. It was simply one of those days of MDing that can never be forgotten. So, I decided to hit a cellar that I've detected many times before. As I was on the old road going up to the hole, for some reason or another, I decided to stop at a foundation that I thought for sure I cleaned out. Well needless to say, I hadn't!!! 5 minutes after turning on my T2 I got a screaming 95 vdi next to a rotten stump. I flipped over my SHALLOW plug and out popped this...

🥇 BANNER ULTRA RARE 1659 LORD BALTIMORE SILVER SIXPENCE DUG YESTERDAY!!!!!

ULTRA RARE 1659 LORD BALTIMORE SILVER SIXPENCE DUG YESTERDAY!!!!!
Wow — I don’t know where to begin as this was totally unexpected. My detecting bud Joey and I hooked up yesterday to make the long drive to a remote rural county where we’ve researched and hunted together before. After securing permission from the owner/farmer at a site Joey had been studying, we made our way to the expansive fields that overlooked the river. Joey’s research also revealed what he believed might be an early house site on a knoll about ¼ mile from the river’s edge. We began hunting there and quickly noticed that small iron and brick frags were spread out over a rather large...

🥇 BANNER 5 Minutes: 1700 Halfcrown! Plus Beach Silver

5 Minutes: 1700 Halfcrown! Plus Beach Silver
The wife wanted to head out for a drive early this morning to look at the fall scenery, and the deal is I get a few minutes to detect while she listens to music. I noticed one of my beat sites was cut as I drove by, so I stopped to get a couple minutes in. Left the car, and made a beeline for the foundation in the center of the field. Within 5 minutes I hit a high 80s signal, popped it out expecting junk but I was pleasantly surprised! Once again the plough gave me some goodies from a beat spot. I was so happy with the find I decided to just move on and save the spot for patriot and I to...

BULLDOZED CELLAR HOLE = GEORGE WASHINGTON INAUGRURAL BUTTON & 11 COPPERS - NJ, FUGIO,

I’ve been detecting on & off for the past 30 years, but I’ve been going at it steadily with a concentration on colonial-period sites for the past 10 years, recovering many good finds. The last three years have been incredibly productive for me likely due to a number of factors; I’ve been very fortunate, and I’m thankful for that. I don’t know how long I can keep riding this wave, but for now I’ll just go with it and always hope for the best.

One elusive object on my most-wanted list for a long...

🥇 BANNER CHARLESTON SLAVE TAG!!!

CHARLESTON SLAVE TAG!!!
Stopped by our new site yesterday afternoon for a quick hunt and man am I glad I did! Hit the plowed area first and didn't find anything so I moved into the thicker grass area where it's harder to get the coil down but hadn't been worked as hard. Found two flat buttons and then got a good high signal and thought maybe it might be my turn to find a coin. Disappointed to see it was just a piece of copper plate, I thought. Then I saw it had numbers on it. Still didn't realize what it was until my buddy handed it back to me and at a glance I see "servant"! Taking a closer look it hits me....I...
