I found two pewter USA buttons today in a field near 1/4 mile from the Indian village of Catherine`s Town wiped out by Gen. Sullivan in 1779, i think these buttons are period.
I also found a dropped three ringer,we don`t see many of these this far north .
Found a lot of beer cans and iron too.

Found this little coin right before sun down tonight. Found a 1903 IH toasted pretty bad around 2:30 today.
Left the park around 3 and picked up my daughter from school. After dinner I got to thinking about that IH and where I found it and decided to go back and just take another look see.....
Well low and behold 2 feet from that hole I get a repeatable tone and TDI.
And the reward is this little beauty.
Probably never top this but I'll sure will be out there trying................ ...
So this is one of those finds you see other people dig up on YouTube but never expect to really find one yourself. Well today it happened, I grabbed one of my great white Buffaloes!!! Lol ..The day started by getting rejected at a few places but because of perseverance I ended up at a 1850s mansion in Cincinnati. Right next to that beautiful red brick side of the house I blindly wrapped my hands around this plate at every bit of 8 inches. The dirt is still moist so please advise on how I should clean this since I'm not finding relics like this every day...
On Jan 31 I posited a great day we had digging when I found half of a CS reef buckle. Since then the weather has been real cold and we have had a good bit of snow. It has keep me up nights thinking about the other half of that buckle. We went back twice to try to find it , but both times the ground was froze solid and we could not dig at that spot. Finally last Sunday I got there for about an hr and a 1/2 and found several bullets but no buckle. I thought then that it was probably not there Today it was calling for mid 60s and had rained yesterday. Conditions were rite so we made...
Howdy T-netters! A great day today at the 1812 fort site! Third day at that site. To date, I had found two British buttons--- one flat, and the other my cherished artillery button with three cannons. Also, tiny musket ball, large half musket ball, and 1787 NJ Copper.
This time around, I hit bank, from within the river bank! I believe the small gold to be a 1/2 escudo, 1783. Extra fine grade I think. A 1731 COB, which I believe is burnt on the side where the cross would be. Makes sense, since the British pilfered the fort and then BURNED IT. So, I guess American money was still at a...
Hello my name is Julian and i`m from Romania. Exactly two years ago I bought my first metal detector and I embraced this beautiful and noble hobby. I'm talking about a Garrett Euroace 350 which is a Garrett350 adapted to European soil. With joy I can say that in the two years this detector discovered two very important silver hoards wich i like to share with you.
First in september 1 2013, the largest silver treasure ever discovered in Romania: 47,296 silver coins most from the reign of Sultan Murad II 1421-1451, weighing more than 120 pounds. The coins were in very good condition due to...
Spurred on by Colins Comment that I should have found something special by now. I got my mad up today. result a nice chunk of Celtic gold. No id as yet, it will be though from the Corieltauvi tribe, and date to before the birth of Christ. Not hammered silver, but beggers can't be choosers.
This weekend I was finally able to escape the seemingly perpetual cabin fever mode I'd been in lately after only getting out for one short hunt over the last 5 weeks. I started things off by hooking up with my good friend Joey to make the long trek back to the county that produced the Lord Baltimore sixpence. Joey had recently discovered that the owner of the Lord Baltimore tract was also in control of another nearby land patent site, and we tried to contact him for the go-ahead. But we went by his house 3 different times during the day but could never catch him home. So we were forced...
Had a good time walking and diggin for three days and yesterday I found a great CS plate. I am trying to get in shape for my summer dredging for gold in Nome. I still need a few dredgers that want to go to my inland claims. 205-672-9310
This CS plate is my eleventh and the first in many years. I haven't looked on dry land much in a long time.
