Welcome to the site! Please post an introduction thread.

New member today so its slow going to navigate site but in time will come. I am a prospector mostly in the liberty wa. area. Do some prospecting in CA. NV. AZ. MT. ID. So brother told me about this site and thought I would drop in and see what everyone was up to and check out all the new treasures found. Happy Holidays

Hi TK: I am also living in VA, on the east side of the Blue Ridge. I an new to gem, coin, and other treasure hunting. My daughter, Heidi, is also interested in finding opals, etc. The trails from my house go into various old homestead areas, and it seems a lot of old sites, used by settlers, as well as Indians. Good luck in your hunting!!!

Do some research on line for laws on your local parks, if you can't find a law on line against it and there are no signs posted at park then enjoy.... Stay away from private property with out permission..

Hey everyone, new to your site and new to metal detecting. Look forward to meeting some new people here. I'm a pilot and metal detect when I get a layover. Get to see a good bit of the country that way and hit different spots.

Hello everyone. Retired from the U.S. Coast Guard as an Electronics Technician Senior Chief (ETCS/E8) after 26 years of working with some of the best people on earth. I actually built a metal detector some years ago but the GARRETT AT Pro is so muc better. I just got a new Garrett AT Pro and of course have been out getting use to it. With KelleyCO BOGO (buy one get one) I got my wife a Bounty Hunter. Hope to be posting a lot of finds, sharing and gaining knowledge from this wonderful hobby. Thanks for all of the information I have gained so far.

Hi Folks,
I’m CarolinaCurt of Pittsboro, North Carolina and have admired the folks of this site for quite some time now. Although I am new to the TREASURENET web site, I have been involved in all types of treasure hunting and collecting for 44 years. My mom and dad; who are now 72 and 76, purchased my first metal detector in 1971 as a birthday gift and as fate would have it, the METAL DETECTING BUG Bit me with the thrill and excitement of never knowing what I will dig up next.
My Motto: You may not be the best, but if you stay focused on your Dream, the best can’t beat you!
My Best Finds to date:
A rusty nail and penny (1971my first finds)
My first musket ball
One half of an Alabama brass canteen (authenticated)
NC USA white metal Revolutionary War coat button with shank
A 1776 King George the 3rd Gold coin found in Rev. Camp, my metal
Detecting buddy found the first gold coin at this sit a 1775 King George the
