Welcome to the site! Please post an introduction thread.

I am new member in VA looking for information about an artifact that I have had for years and was told it was Myan. It was examined by a local museum and we were told that they could find nothing exactly like it and that we should investigate further with the Museum in Richmond. Decided to try some on line investigating first. I can account for the statue's whereabouts for the last 80 years but only know that it came from the southeast. The local museum felt it was of a woman giving birth.

Hello, soon to be Nooby. Just waiting on my detector to arrive. From Illinois, Hanover Park area. Was browsing videos and got kinda hooked on watching Deep Digger Dan. Not sure of your opinions of him but, hey I like his videos. Been watching some on here now as well. You all have had some great finds. Not going to have any great hopes, but its more for me to get out and active. My job now is mainly driving and sitting at a desk doing computer work, and i think when im out visiting cell sites why not detect the area right around it. Some of them are pretty remote, so, hey why not. When i was on the construction side, we had to excavate a bit and it turned out we were on an old Bromo seltzer factory. Found over 200 intact cobalt blue bottles in their shipping crates that disintegrated as we tried to get them out. My boss at the time(such an Asshat) took all of them from us. That or lose our jobs. Went back a couple of years ago to poke around but the rest of the property now is a parking lot. Damn the Luck. Also my old boss got struck by lightning. Karma's a ***** ain't it. Well, Glad to be here, and can't wait for warm weather again.

HH Todd.

Hi, all.. I have been lurking here for a few weeks as part of my search for metal detector info. I finally found a MD and bought it today. It's a Whites Coinmaster 5500/D series3.
I am brand spanking new to this hobby. I have been searching for and reading all kinds of reviews and opinions about MD's. This site has been very helpful.
My Whites is in like new condition, and works perfectly. I narrowed down the features I wanted ( or thought i needed) and found the price of a
newer model was out of my reach. But, when i saw this Md, and researched it, I found all the features I wanted at a cost I could afford. Also, I am attracted to old school machines and gadgets more than the new stuff. (I reserve the right to change my mind about the analogs at any time).
Looking forward to my first time out with the coinmaster and being a member here. Thanks for reading, Tony
