Hi everyone. I'm a newbie in all aspects. As a child my dad loved metal detecting but didn't teach me much as I was just his digger. So I'm new to metal detecting and treasure hunting as far as knowledge. I have a cheap Bounty Hunter detector but it has done a decent job so far. I live on my families old farm land which was Native hunting ground before they came to own it in 1862. I've found symbols on trees here, a few coins and a lot of barbwire. haha. I'm here to learn more and talk to others that enjoy deciphering symbols and tracking them.

Hi, I'm a new member from Minnesota. My husband and I started metal detecting last spring. Excited to see others finds!

Hello. I am from southern Illinois and am just getting started. I have heard about too much underwater treasure that has been lost around here locally. I gotta go after it. After reading some great info here, a great guy give me a great deal on a Minelab Excaliber II. Lookout here I come!

I'm from the Mid-MO area and just looking for sports stuff mainly. I stumbled on the site and thought I could help on a post so I signed up. I like going to thrift shops and garage sales, but never expect to find a million dollar deal. Just things I like for the most part.

Yes, way too cold. Received a new detector for Christmas and can't even try it out. We are in the Twin cities. Have you been detecting very long? My husband and I started last spring. So much fun!

Hello I'm Budwiser and i'm a Cache Hunter, Relic, Coin, and Jewelry Beach Hunter as well. I started Metal Detecting in the 1960's with a home built Heath kit detector. I started a metal detecting club in Maryland along with a fellow Relic hunter and currently teach Newbee's the basic's of Proper Digging Methods and putting them on the Fast Track of sources in Reaching sites. I Found the BIGGEST TREASURE was NOT the Material coins, jewelry or relics BUT the FRIENDS you make on your travels. THANK YOU ALL FOR THE WELCOME. BUDWISER

Old time hunter who took time off. Recently dusted off the mine labs just testing the water.

Good luck and welcome to tnet

Hello, Im new to detecting and this site. Started about 5 months ago, initially bought a garrett Ace 350 and quickly upgraded to the ATPro. I live in New york so its a little cold this time of year for detecting, also there is snow on the ground. Would like to learn as much as i can from the members of this site, so if anyone has advice to offer please Do! I have particular interest in finding rings at the beach, if anyone wants to provide advice it would be much appreciated.

Hey everyone

This is day one on site and look forward to hearing and learning about all your finds. Will be buying my first detector this month (AT Pro) and then need the ground to thaw in NY

Hello everyone! My name is Mike, and I am a Chemist from New Jersey. I got interested in the hobby back when I was a kid with an old Radio Shack detector. Now I have a new Garrett 250 and an X Pointer and I mainly look for old coins and jewelry. My other hobbies include boating, geology/prospecting, hiking, travel, and reading. I hope to glean some new tips and techniques from the group, as well as help out when I can (though I am still a newbie, lol), and share unique finds!

Welcome to tnet you came to the rite place.
