Video 4 - The Peralta Stone Maps with Frank Augustine

You made a post report, admin read it and then watched the video. Post reports are links to not just the reported post but the thread itself..

There are members - unnamed - that I have filed reports on for breaking "rules". As have many others members. I didn't report "myself" or my own thread.

When someone reports just a single post, it basically tells the admins or mods to check the whole thread for other possible attacks or broken rules.

We didn't break any rules. We aren't a business and we didn't advertise using Tnet bandwidth

I told you, admin read your post report, went to thread to see what it was about and watched your video, your video listed your sponsors and was linked to TreasureNet..

It has nothing to do with TN bandwidth. You posted videos that advertise your sponsors who are non supporting vendors and was linked to TreasureNet.

Can you tell us why the rest of the thread was taken down? I know admin has the ability to do that, just questioning why that was necessary.

so what you are saying is because we have sponsors that Tnet doesn't - you guys deleted the thread?

Ryan I didn't delete the thread, admin did, I'm just telling you why.....

I didn't know it was deleted till I saw Ryan's post asking why...

Why wasn't Ryan warned and or given a chance to remove all links containing non-sponsors of this forum before thread was deleted?

Couldn't the admins undo the thread delete and give Ryan a chance to remove all links (as well as a chance to redo his video without sponsors)?

A monster amount of information given by quite a few posters is now gone because of one infraction by one poster.

I am not pointing the finger at you or any of the other mods- I understand this was the action of an admin- wondering if this could be brought to their attention.

Maybe put in a link to the Youtube video instead of the actual video?
Might keep the lawyers happy that way.

I will bring request to admin's attention....

i don't recall him looking for rusty nails in video 6

I stand corrected. I skim through the videos on here. Got that one mixed up with one of the other ones. but i did like the thread. Could have just deleted the video.

Thanks.. perhaps Ryan could even persuade these same sponsors to sponsor this forum, so that everything could proceed as before.

Quite honestly these videos have inspired some of the best discussions I've seen concerning the legends associated with the Superstitions.

Thanks deducer! Comments like that are really appreciated

I'd be happy to talk to the sponsors about that - unfortunately the admin still hasn't ever replied to my email, so we don't have much to go on yet.

Frank and I are motivated to get this fixed. We wish we could have been informed before such a drastic move like this was taken.

FFarl told TH that he has been emailing me about this - however my inbox here on Tnet doesn't have any of those emails. Just another part of the mystery of what's going on here.

Good to know. I wonder who that person may have been. Oh well.

To the viewers, we are sorry this is happening. I know these threads have generated a lot of good convo.

For the record, I've been financing this entire venture. We haven't made any money. We aren't operating with a business license, as their is no exchange of money from our sponsors to us. This was never a business.

I am willing to pay to keep these videos going for everyone - but I haven't heard back from any admin / moderator with a cost. It will be that cost that will determine if this can continue on Tnet. If not, the videos are still on YouTube.
Ryan,
If you are still making ad money from the YouTube videos, why not use those funds to offset the sponsor ad expense here on TNet? It would be a quick solution and the videos/treads would be back up and running in no time.

Thanks for the suggestion Hal. We don't have ads on our videos. We did at one time though.

And just for fun - in case anyone is interested. You make about $7.50 per 1,000 ad views.

It costs me that just to drive over to Frank's to pick him up!
