Treasure Expo 2007

I have just signed a contract( and paid) for AIR ADVERTISING.
This is where a small Airplane towing a banner will fly from Satellite Beach to Port Canaveral and back to Satellite Beach-3 times. This will take place at 11:30 a.m. on July 28th and again on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. July 29th. The plane will leave the Merritt Island Airport and fly direct to A1A and fly south to Satellie Beach and then fly back up the Beach pat Patrick AFB.
The estimted number of people that will see this Banner is 150,000.
Flyers were given out at Patrick AFB letting the Military personal know there is NO charge for them if they come in uniform.

Well my friends the 23rd of June is the last day or getting a discount on rooms at the Hoilday Inn.
The discount CAN save you some serious money.
The rooms are vailable for only $90.00 a day compared to close to $190 a day at the regular price. July is the PRIME TOURIST TIME.
I do not know about everyone else but saving $200 FOR 2 DAYS IS A BIG SAVINGS.
What could you buy with $200.00.
I could maybe buy a few items from the EXPO OR a few extra T-Shirts.

Rustys Mate,
The only thing that has changed is the DATE and since I did not do this site I have no idea how to change it or add anything to it.
SORRY ABOUT THAT.

question:
As most of you know the OLD MAN sent me a gold coin to be raffled off that the EXPO.
It is a 1 EXCUDO GOLD COIN.
It weighs 4.0 grams.
The symbols on the left side of the shield are SI and I believe an H.
There are a few letters on the Cross side.
There are DOTS around the Clover Leaf BUT there are no circles anywhere on this coin.
I believe it was minted during King Philips II or III time.
I feel that I must provide as much information I can when offering this coin as a RAFFLED items at the EXPO.
Any help on I.D.ing this coins would be great.
Thanks
My scanner is down.

Concerning the Gold coin. If you will go back to December you will see the coin. The old man posted a photo of this coin much better than what I can do anyway.
I was doing some research yesterday trying to find when and where this coin was minted and I found a few things that is of interest (?).
If you will take a close look at the letters you will see S I B or what appears to be a B. If you will look closer there appears to have been a P stamped over with a B or a B stamped over with a P.
I earlier in the day read somwhere that this was done around the early to mid 1600's but I cannot remember the location where this was done (need some help).
The reason for all this research is a little involved.
1. Because of where the coin was found on the beach.
2. There is a known shipwreck in this area but there was never a single gold coin recovered from this site.
3. Is it possible that this coin belonged to a passanger on this ship-most likely it was.
4. Does this increase the value of this coin?
As everyone knows this Gold I Escudo will be RAFFLED or SOLD with the proceeds going to the DOWN SYNDROME ORGANISATION in Brevard County so the more I know about this coin the more money it may bring.
This is not greed on my part I just want to raise as money as I can.
I was first thinking about selling Raffle tickets for this coin at $1.00 each but I now think that $5.00 would raise a little more money for such a good cause.
The little EMERALD will be given as a Door Prize and the larger one will be Raffled off at $1.00 a ticket.
Thats my thoughts for the day ;D ;D so far anyway.

Got a call last nite from someone that is interested in the EXPO.
It seems that he read about the EXPO in LOST TREASURE MAGAZINE. I had no idea there was an ad placed in any magazine but what really gets to me is that the DATES are wrong-they still have the AUG dates and not the JULY dates.
No one checked with me before placing this ad.
I believe it may have been Carl but will not know till Monday but anyway whoever placed this information should have checked with me first and then contact the magazine about the date change BEFORE it came out in the JULY issue.

The Add has

treasureexpo.thunting.com

Which Still has the August Dates

& your info added

My problem is I did not create this add and have no idea how to put it right.
I guess this is the same thing that appears in the magazine ???
There are several mistakes that need to be corrected.
Anyone have any idea how this can be done?
Thanks
Peg Leg

Yes They should be able to Correct it there But Don't know if a Correction can make it in time for the Next MAIL issue.
The Expo may be over by the Time it's Released

Don, I placed the ads in LT and W&ET magazines. You should know about this, because we discussed it on the phone, and then I sent you the ad copy which you approved, and then I told you when the ads had been placed. This was all done around the 1st of May, before you changed the date.

After you changed the date, I completely forgot to call the magazines back. However, it probably wouldn't have mattered, as I barely got the ad out to them before the submission cut-off date. I have, however, changed the date on the web page.

One of the problems associated with age in the memory lost this is why I like to do business by Email this way I can print it out and put it in a file folder.
I do recall we did talk about the add but I do not recall the magazine. OH WELL.
CARL ARE YOU SURE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE IT?
I hope you can make it my friend. This EXPO has really grown and is still growing. I get calls everyday asking questions and I and others will really miss all the Electronics you were planning to display along with what you have to say.

There are those that are planning to TRY and locate the SHIPWRECK reported to be on the Holiday Inn property.
Thanks for reminding me of our talk.
Hope you can make it.
Don

Sorry, but no... I had planned my vacation around the original date, and cannot change it. If this Expo creates enough interest for an annual event, I will certainly plan for the next one, and will volunteer my time and money to make it happen.

Peg Leg, I can't find the pic of the coin. Didn't the stamp P mean Potosi Mint and the other letter usually was who was King at the time? another P...1600's....Phillip? I'm not sure what a B would mean.

Rustys Mate,
Go to
Spanish Coins,
Gold II Escudo,
Go to POST 209 by the Old Man.
This is the exact coins beng discussed.
