This is one I am currently working on, not sure of the relationship of the pyramid rock in the background. It may be my "center" or "corner" starting point? The horizontal rock in the lower left has several angles cut into the end of it, including a small triangle on the upper right hand corner (reddish color). Red rock= west? I am thinking I may get my distances and degrees from this but have not yet checked it out. :dontknow:

Shortstack,
:icon_scratch: I am undecided about that face. It reminds me of one or several I have seen somewhere...( maybe Dr. Seuss?) three steps to the left and it's nose becomes a thumb and the "ear" becomes fingers of a palm up hand...the eye becomes a snake or lizard head with something in it's mouth?
The anvil shaped object (one of the steps is caused by a plant/shade) I take to be an eagle's head...the point or beak is somewhat hooked.

DM

Your rock(s) remind me of a person laying down, wearing a robe tied at the waist, carrying something under their right arm.(on second thought could be a wing?) Maybe a smiley face rock to the right...does it have an eye on both sides?

Is there anything else that you've found to indicate you might be following a trail to a John site?? I think it was Thom who wrote that the closer you get to a John site, the more detailed the eagle shapes will be. This "eagle" shape is not reaaaaly detailed, so you might have a little ways to go yet, but you're getting there.

kinda looks like a fish and eagle when flipped.

Brent,

It does look like a fish that way (food chain?) Notice it still looks like an Eagle head after turning....

Shortstack,

Yes, I do have this "shadow sign". :)

Shortstack,

I posted a pic in answer to your last question. See above.

Yes, I see that. Man, that is a SERIOUS beak, isn't it?

Real de Tayopa

What a dramatic picture.

My first thought, was go around to the left, and take a flashlight..the torches burned out a long time ago and better take some mules it will be a load.

Then.,..looking at that pixellated photo...changed my mind some what. The war is over though. The ...hog? has been slain. Gunpowder long gone.

The little brothers know the way. Follow the snake. And ummm... i would love to see that.... knick knack in real life.

shadow kinda looks like elephant trunk but body of duck, maybe shadow will turn into just a head.

What's the story on that little black figure under the beak? And, is that triangular / cone section of the leaning tree natural or manmade?

Had
the upper right red circle is a good spot...at this time I do not believe the other two to be connected?

Shortstack,

Good spot on the item circled to the right under the shadow Eagle...most would assume he is looking down and you should dig directly below...just might be some directions on where to really dig/look.

Oddrock.
