WD,

We haven't tried it but should work something else that works is spraying plants with cayenne pepper in the water or even a bit of liquid soap in a squirt bottle of water.

Here’s one for you to laugh at. I grew broccoli once maybe 20-25 years ago. I was so excited to have it for supper. A friend happened to be over and he asked me if I was soaking it in water. I replied, “ Well, I was gonna rinse it. Why do I need to soak it?” He proceeded to tell me about this worm that is in the broccoli. I was skeptical but soaked it anyway. These green worms started floating around in the water. I wouldn’t eat it and haven’t grown any since.

Has anyone tried spraying with garlic water? I’m wondering if that works or a waste of garlic and time.

What bugs eat garlic?

My tobacco is not growing...A learning thing I guess...

Nicotiana rustica is the/a strongest tobacco , often used to control insects.
Other tobacco options to make a spray with exist.

I added a strong mint plant in one gardening area. We'll see what effect it has on critters. Rabbits are one concern.
I've seen them near mint in a separate flower area but not close to it or in the flowers..
Have watched one visit the neighbors flowers and snack..
Time will tell...

Critters

Hmmm

I’m thinking of digging out those annoying motion detecting Christmas decorations.

Multipurpose

LOL

Good afternoon crew mates.

If all that fails WD I’ll send you a picture of me, scares off most things...except rug rats, they’re back!
Mailman has sailed past my house for the past few days now! :headbang:

Hope all works out well on the boat Bart, glad no one was hurt. Good luck on the metal detecting.

Nice helmet RR.

Rugrats are viral. I’m being invaded tomorrow!

For the gardening types on the thread here's some of the logic behind mulching your garden with grass clippings, etc...

A very funny flick, Bill.
For some reason it reminded me of something Bruce Lee once told me.

He said he was just as susceptible to a beer bottle in a dark alley, as anybody.
BUT....he cautioned...you better not miss the first shot. ;)

wif,

Here's a story for you back in 1978 when I was still young and foolish(now I'm old and foolish...lol.).

I met a gal who was taking kung fu from a master in a rough part of town. Back then the only way a non Asian could take kung fu was from an introduction from a current student.

That said she did the intro and I signed up. Master Lee was probably about 5'2" or 5'3" and tough as nails he used to set at a desk in the corner of the dojo and his senior students who were black belts would teach the classes with him as an overseer.

I never saw him eat he pretty much chained smoked and drank black tea. One night after dark he was walking home through a back alley and 5 or 6 punks jumped him figuring he was an easy prey.

They all ended up in the hospital and tried to lay assault charges against him...when the case went to court the judge looked at this small elderly gentleman with bowed head and automatically threw the case out of court.....
