Didn't you see that doubloon lying by that brick? :icon_scratch:

Was all that dirt moved around down both sides of the "walkway"? You didn't fill in your plugs. ;)

Semiseriously....maybe...try screening an area that you figure should have coins?

Another thing. Do you ever actually use the discrimination circuits you paid so much for?

I don’t have to fill in my plugs. My property I am tearing it up! LOL. Yes I scraped the side walk off so I could shoot the video. I have been wanting to do that for a year now. Discrimination yeah right. No matter what I do, I still get the “ donk” iron sounds. For the past two days I have only been digging if the numbers were anything below 20 and above 35. I cannot figure out this detector for nothing. And when I do get a higher number or one in the teens, I just plop my butt down with the pinpointer and dig it all out. That coin I have as an avatar was a fluke. I was digging up a nail and the pinpointer kept beeping. That’s why it’s scratched too. I was using my Delta 4000. I don’t remember the settings, but it was what the book suggested for beginners. Any way, maybe some day I will come across some one that understands and can show me hands on what the heck I am supposed to do. I have learned a little bit but not much. Oh and after I posted the video, I went over all the cracks, nothing but nails.

Rchair,

I was going to use the potatoes that are sprouting in my pantry. I may look for seed potatoes since we have opened up around here.

If they're sprouting you should be good to go.
More so if a potato type you like.

A couple inches of sprouts is the most I've ever planted.
This gal has sprouts , I didn't imagine could grow so long , l.o.l..
About fourteen inches between plants is close enough. She's plantin kinda tight..

Sometime WD MY Garrett Carrott will go crazy and stay on around the target area. That could indicate a low 9 volt battery also. But I’ve found very small buttons also when you couldn’t see them. The killer to this is when you are in an area where people squirrel hunt and the pointer is sounding out on a very small lead shot.

But...if you don't keep a tidy place, how the heck is any good scaliwag gonna do any proper claim jumping!? :piratehand:

What I was referring to by screening an area, I meant... literally. In places like that, if you're able, is to just take a shovel and a screen and have at it. I've done it only a few times. But when there's a *LOT* of trash AND a fair amount of potential...it might be a way to clear sections of some surface interference. Just a thought.

If you're enjoying what you're doing, I wouldn't change a thing. Just keep on and enjoy!
