Quite the safety protocol at dentists these days. I sent a link to my dentist and this is pretty much what he's doing also.

Had a gobbler on the roost 50 yards away from us, gobbling to every call we made. Then he flew down the opposite way, and never came back.

What the heck, you don't know how to choose which side of a roost to set on and wait correctly?
If there are four sides you have a 25% chance of calling the right side. (Not the right side vs the left side right side.)
At 25% chances of any of four sides , that takes two flips of a coin to choose the two sides to choose from to flip the coin again.
Unless...You flip the same side twice. Then you set up on the opposite side.
