I know... we both wondered as well... I tell you... we both experienced a day that we felt like IF we got any sicker we would have croaked. heh

Doctor told my wife stay home...we dont need to check you unless your dying, cant breathe, or need a ventilator ! So what hes saying in not so many words is dont come here for a test...your already sick so stay home until it clears up.....if it dosent clear up and you get worse....then you can come to the ER and be counted among the walking dead. Otherwise your better off at home fighting it in the comfort of your home.

Yeah we both told each other if we got any worse we were going in... we chalked up to this nasty seasonal Flu that ALSO is going around.

2 weeks later the Covid thing broke loose on news... and we both just looked at each other.

But symptoms were totally flu an we have very wet cough... and still do... a very slight bit.

I was going to say that. I had that back in early February. Came home from Belize on the 1st and came down with that weird cough on the 7th. Lots of phlegm. It took a couple of weeks before it went away. And it was different than anything I have caught before.

I remember posting that you probably just survived the corona virus ARC....I remember you saying you almost went in to the hospital it was so bad !! I think I'm getting slowly better now !!.....I hope !!

We self quarantined since then anyway... we always do when and if we ever get sick... we cant stand people who go into public sick... even when we did go to store we are SUPER conscious of distancing and bring our own wipes etc etc etc...

You could say... we are slight "germaphobes" anyway... we are and try to keep free and clean of anything.... as normal practice.

Ya....traveling through those airports is the dangerous part of this outbreak !! Your bound to catch something at miami international airport !!

Yeah I was joking about it... actually someone else posted it... but I joked back... but now I wonder... "what if".... heh

We are fine now and have been better for 3 weeks... anyway... every now and then I will cough a tiny bit of phlegm... BUT WE BOTH do that anyway this time of year due to all the Oak pollen anyway.

We both have slight allergies... she more than me.

I didnt even want to go to the beach....but I picked one of those beaches that is out of the way.....in all the years I've walked this beach I've only seen one other person out there....hopefully he's not there today.

Bart I hope your better soon.
Have some chicken soup (not gator :laughing7:) I used vicks to help with phlem.

Does make you wonder, but the time frame is too long, going on 6 weeks wit a little lingering phlegm.
I had it in mid-Feb. Sneezing, sore throat, runny nose like a faucet, cough then phlegm going green. Got over everything but still cough & some phlegm.
And I haven't managed to give it to family ...yet! Just trying to share!

In an average day around here in public... you might cross paths with 20 New Yorkers... WHICH is the "hotspot" for the virus... which is why I am so adamant about them GOING BACK HOME... and stopping them from coming here.

Bart,

From what I've read the covid19 is a dry cough no phlegm mind you this is new so does everyone have the same symptoms.

The doc was happy to here that I had a wet cough "cough with phlegm". Apparently the covid cough is dry with no phlegm. It was one factor for not having to go in for a test.

Woops.....as bill pointed out when I was posting.

our allergies is what she blames the phlegm on... which we are blanketed with pollen here... I mean you can wipe it off something clean you laid outside an hour after.

What ever I get has more of a tendency to be bacterial caused than viral.
