Good morning all.

I installed half a dozen carbon capturing devices on my property yesterday to fight climate change.

Actually, I planted six fruit and nut trees in my yard in the hope that they'll give me some food in a few years.

(Just an example of how two statements describing the exact same action can give very different impressions.)

Close enough... yes damage is widespread... but could have been much worse had the storm hit us directly instead of south of us.

Morning Everyone Another crazy week. Parenting things on my own this week with the wife off to Minneapolis to pay bills. Beautiful weather though, with a possible chance to swing a detector around on some recently cleared virgin land.

Beautiful day out 70F.
Light breeze blowing.
Went for a drive around looking at the colors.
(Probably nicer out my window)
Lunch, ice cream.

Went to pick up a little cabinet and 1850 watt generator from an auction sale.
Went back to the Island we first built on.
$3.50 when we moved there.
Now $8.00 slight bump.
I said to the guy oh we had a sticker but it fell off.
(10 yrs ago now)
Oh, OK go ahead.
Saw our old home, took a few photos of how they made it ugly.
Amazing timber framing all cover up.
Carved with Japanese chisels.
The guy would probably crap himself if he saw it.

Anyways it was a day out celebrating our 20th anniversary.

Happy Indigenous People’s Day!
Columbus never saw North America; some of my family were living here by then anyway. Hard to discover a land that has permanent residents already. 😆 The history book authors should be embarrassed.

Belated happy Indigenous Peoples Day to you too. I was out of pocket for a week, my family went home and I spent most of it in the mountains hiking, camping, and hunting. This site seems to be PG or PG-13 rated, and in respect for that I'll refrain from sharing any thoughts on the asshat that got lost.
