Truck update: I finally got the engine on the truck back in time -- the drivers side cam was indeed one tooth off, so it had skipped. But it's good now. (I marked the "bright" links on the timing chain with a sharpie because they weren't all that obvious.) I've spun the engine by hand and there's no strange noises or binding or anything so hopefully all is well and there was no damage from the chain jumping a tooth. So now I have to get everything all cleaned up and I can start putting it back together. I still have that blown plug to deal with, but I want more stuff covered up before I start dealing with that. Then I also have to get that old busted EGR valve tube off (that should be no fun at all) so I can replace it. It's pretty slow going when I can only work on it a little at a time, but the important part is done.

Mr woo is a little put out having young Starling Moss in the house!! But pleased to say Moss is eating my blended Cat food nd boiled egg!! 🤮 its not my finest meal… but if it keeps him going its all good!! Here is the little fella… 😆

Mr Woo is furious… it sqwarks are so loud its disturbing his nap… so im having to hold it… seems to keep him quiet 🤔 i imagine its like having a child?? 🤔 xx 🙈

I witnessed a few yellow streaked nappyies in my early days-that settled it for me.

Starlings are "flock" birds. They get upset when they can't find their flock, and so they make noise to find out where everybody went. They will get all out of sorts if they can't find their flock, and can actually get sick from it (though it takes several days). We actually take PeeWee with us if we travel, for this very reason. (Yes, really. We can have others look in on him, but they aren't his flock, and he doesn't like people who aren't part of his flock.)

Ahh thats awesome 😆… he is so cute.. when i hold him he nods off to sleep😂…!! The tricky bit is knowing how much to feed him… 🤔… he doesn’t open his mouth.. so have to rub the sides of his beak nd then try to aim the syringe nozzle in… i need 3 hands, 1 to hold, 1 to rub, and one to press the plunger…. But i guess with time we will both adapt 😅 xx
