Didnt get to go detecting last night 😔 himself had to sort some work stuff out, so has promised we can go tonight!!! 😆Gardening tomoz then Sunday and Monday we will be swinging in the sunshine 😆 xx

Good morning folks...been up and down all night with nerve damage in my right arm.....always a battle with pain and numbness in my right arm and hand. Just the way it is after weeks of continuous fishing. The swelling will go down over a number of days after I settle back down from my trip....swinging the detector dosent help, but I push through it and grit my teeth and look forward to getting up so the pain stops. Swollen muscles in my shoulder, arm and hand restrict blood flow to my hand and fingers, and pinch nerves. Should be a few more days before I'm back to a full night sleep. If I sleep in a sitting position it helps. Well enough about my problems.....hope everyone is good and it feels great to be back on my normal schedule!!

I forget...if the "swinging a detector", to you, is like my walking around for four hours, swinging my Atey Matey. Or if you're swinging something in or under water.

For me, adding a weight bearing strap has been a God-send! Of course though, I've been swinging for longer than most people here have been alive. So, I need *ALL* the help I can get!

Thank you all for your kind words, it's just a little of bit about me that I thought to share.

True story;

I was talking with a friend the other night. We broached the subject of drinking. I told him I'd only been "drunk" twice in my long life. Both times were just experiments...to see what all my friends were talking about. Both times, all I got from that was being very, very sleepy! Not even a hangover the next day.

Anyway I told him I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't drug.

He said, "Y O U!?!?!?!? DON'T DRINK!!!! I figured with all I know about you...that of *everyone* I know, I just assumed that with all you have had to deal with....that YOU!!! of all people I know, would drink!!!!!" 😲

Have a captains test coming up....no smokey smokey for awhile. Plus no amount of weed will cut this type of pain. Weed only does so much. Only time and rest help.

So beautiful!!! Our peonies have gone mad this year… they have had a hard life and were not happy where they had been planted many years ago, so i dug them all up, scrubbed them clean nd cut out any manky bits from the tubors re potted in fresh compost… then planted them out in a different flower bed! They are now all flowering beautifully this year!! Bless them!! xx

🤔 perhaps we ought to ask Cappy if we can have a south facing corner on the boat nd make a Ship’s Garden!!! 😆 xx

Ha!! I wasnt named Blossom for my looks trust me, was named after a stubborn smelly bow legged basset hound i once knew 😂😂 so no worries on me ever being self centred 😆 xx

I was reading your redoing the peonies.
Cutting out the manky parts.
Then you went on to the cappy, and I started wondering if you were going to do some altering there. 🤣

Congrats, lots of strong will. I'm glad you've done so well for yourself you're a wonderful person and deserve more than what things like that would offer. I myself have decided to quit drinking and haven't touched any in awhile. Also teaches you who are real friends and who isn't. Told a friend I was quiting instead of being happy for me I got questioned to why and for what. As far as my "friend" was concerned they were losing a drinking partner and cared only for that.

Ah can relate to the pocket friends, around till the pocket was empty.
Met many in the younger days.
When I slipped to some lows, no help from them.
The guilt must run deep with one as 45 yrs later when he hears a hello through another person from me, he gets a tad uncomfortable. I'll keep that going till he sees the other side.
No use for the facilitating types in this world.
A fellow explained it to me 20 yrs ago as Crabbing.
Say what?
He was a great guy, solid family, religious, values that most would only try to inspire to.
Fill a big old galvanized wash tub with crabs.
Now watch what happens.
Every time a crab tries to make it out, another reaches up and drags it back down.
So don't let them go crabbing you, because now you know the results.
The reflection in the mirror is the one you can trust in your life.

Ok back to planting something, so I will be able to eat this winter.
