We finally got off our bums and set out to find a new church. It was pretty good. Message was spot on. Beliefs appear to be in sync with ours. May visit a different one next week or give this one another try. Sunday is a good day for new beginnings.

Here is a more modern rigging eye for @DanMcG this would have been buried in the wood up to the eye, and this one obviously bolted from the inside with a large backing plate. The ones im finding are much older than this, and are very difficult to spot on the bottom of the ocean. An encrusted one on the ocean floor is almost identical to the broken coral around it. The ones im finding are shorter, and hand wrought iron fasteners.View attachment 2073663

Cool bart, there was a post with a similar object but it wasn't a nut on the end like yours. did you see it? I can't find it now. Thanks for sharing this, I never get tired of learning new things.
