Got all the chain saw mill marks out and am sanding to 180 grit. Next will be epoxy stabilization in all cracks, checks, and splits. Then final sanding and pre finish !! This wood is legendary for its chatoyance.....this is an effect most often seen in gemstones, and makes this wood actually change and morph as you move around the piece. I've been asked to produce a piece for a fellow keys artist to present in his art gallery.....quite an honor for us at the flipfloploggers !!
