Work is good and staying busy. I've had not much to do so I go find places to metal detect even if I think I'll find nothing as it keeps my mind calm
Gas powered trimmer sat about 15 years. Maybe more!
The bag with the brushcutting sawblade and the original string spool and misc. parts had a hole in it.
The shiny nuts and parts showed up in the dirt and weeds enough to pick them out . But of course the one nut I needed was missing after I wheeled the trimmer and bag around the house from shed to driveway to work on it.
No problem ,I'll grab my pinpointer and find it.
Pinpointer light worked but no pinpointer buzzing near metal. Hmmm.
Grab my "good" spare battery from my detecting pack/bag and same thing....
Grab my new back up pinpointer and same thing.
Tear the house apart except for smoke detectors and no more 9 volt batteries...
Cram on wrong threaded nut to hold saw blade on. Naughty naughty.
My mind was getting less calm by then apparently.
Added fuel/oil mix and it ran. Beast!
Tossed it in the truck and continued Easter egg hunting for tools.
Halfway out to worksite I realized I forgot my tape measure.
Today I'm still looking for my tape measure I was wearing and using the day before I forgot it....
Had about four at one time around here . I'll look in the other truck again next. Calmly? Maybe. Maybe not!
