Someone in a former neighborhood I lived in found an arrow stuck in the bottom of his pool.
To stand on site and try to figure out how the arrow got there at that angle.....
Made one wonder.

One little ceramic thing of water out front gets consumed without my seeing the critters involved. Too fast to just be drying up at times.
If bats they are welcomed. I only see one around lately.

I pull out lots of tree frogs and toads. Sometimes a gopher or mouse will drown in the pool. I'm pretty good about making sure there are no toad and frog causality. Pulled out a huge toe biter a couple days ago don't know how he found his way in there don't see too many of those around lately.

They don't see well so when they do happen to wonder out they fall into the pool and can't get out. The drought probably does make it occur a little more often. I've seen it out where I live though prior to the drought. Mice and gophers have always ended up in the pool and pond. The koi in the pond like to drown the mice and toads that end up in the pond the grab them and hold them under they don't eat them so a behavior I don't understand

I've not got out lately or had anywhere to go. I don't drive and with an estate being sold and getting ready to move there's no time

That's history now, no books written though.
Still picking raspberries, tomatoes, strawberries are coming around again.
Still tending the rooster, got the tree down cleaned up.
Most days are just a blur.

Argh! What a traumatic day! Took my dad and daughter out for a late breakfast. Got back to my dad’s and did the collection of stuff routine, 2 bags to give to Goodwill, one bag of stuff for me to figure out and then another for the trash. Not bad until my dad says he can’t find the other sheets for his bed. Really? It’s been 2-1/2 years now since mom’s been gone, but ok, I’ll help you find them. So. I had to rummage through my mothers personal stuff that was hidden amidst sheets and drapery, which BTW, I thought we had already cleaned out, and my dad was right there.🤦‍♀️ But I did find a ring. Missing the stone. It doesn’t look like much but it’s stamped with sterling. Idk🤷‍♀️

Cool ring! Have a little patience with Dad,he may have been just working out a plausable reason for you to stay a little longer. Old guys do that sometimes. No disrespect meant you understand?

Maybe, but I think it has a little to do with not having the emotional fortitude to open mom’s dresser. By himself any way. Anywho, hopefully that was the last of the personal stuff.
