These are all awesome, JVA5th! I hope there are names on them. And/or you can identify your ancestors. I love the baby picture. I don’t know who would have pictures that old in my family. My mom had some from as far back as 1930’s or 40’s . That’s about it.

Some have names and info on the back. I don't know anything of these people just know they are ancestors from my mother's side. Some of these appear to be quite old

Awesome pics!

The bicycle lamp on the one bike is really neat. (Man , you had hardcore bikers in your family...!)

Everybody looks rich. No sight of bare feet!
L.o.l..

By what I know a good portion of them where poor but I don't know all the family history

Some age!

Pipe stem?

Any suspicion of grommet origins/use? Military , or wreckers , or civilian picnics?
Just a boat cargo cover?
(Yes , I ask too many questions.)

Neat china piece for your collection.
Maybe it was a high ranking persons supper plate and pistol belt buckle.
But who's lock box? Muuahhh Ha ha.

Man, if I were you, I would be meeting with my mom and the rest of her family and try and put as many pieces together as possible. But that’s me. They are pretty old. You may not be able to figure them all out. Are you interested in ancestry? I use familysearch.org. When they stumble upon a possible family match, they notify me. Oh! I am just amazed at the family treasure you have! Just awesome in my book!

They are neat pictures to come across one appears to not even be from the states. Most are on this nice solid cardboard like material, a few are set up as post cards, I'm thinking a portion of these go back into the 1800s but I know nothing of photos so could be wrong

Grommets would be of maritime origin....hunting in the main area of marine commerce.....I think any number of canvas items on a sailing vessel....sails, hatch and cargo covers, and even canvas awnings.

Setting sun filtered through the trees for a backdrop , male Cardinal took advantage of the quiet stage to give his best in song.
When he stopped and hopped about on a limb to watch my reaction (?) a male Robin sounded off with his territorial song across the road.
As a hummingbird zigged past me.
Maybe I'll put the snow shovel I retrieved out of the front yard today in the shed with such signs.
Don't want to jinx the weather yet though. Still have the plow on the truck for insurance. L.o.l..

Temps in the 50's forecast for tomorrow. Been warm and dry.
Birds will carry on regardless.
hey rc-i know its none of my business but i was just wondering where you live-sounds like a nice place-how was the weather there today

I don’t know a whole lot either, but those might be what they call cabinet cards.

Michigan.
Warm start in the upper 60's maybe. First cricket of the season was heard a couple days ago. Light Junebug hatch prior.

Sunny till clouding over today around 2 P.M..
Stormed big time to the South and we had a couple hours of near steady lightning and rain eventually. Mild wind compared to other areas of the country it went through.

A great day though. Time of year is wonderful for outdoor easy going stuff (not involving perishables l.o.l.)
I'll lay low in the heat , but need to mow before it dries out much or I'll be in a cloud of dust when mowing.

Tree frogs started warming up before dark which hinted of the rain and humidity.
They were sounding off during the storm too.
Warmest temps of the year (so far) and high humidity forecast for the next couple days.
