J. R. R. Tolkien wrote The Hobbit.
Children focused type book.
It led to quite a bit of other writing.
Tolkien had inspiration from his dreams. Maybe as others ponder life and the afore mentioned good vs evil , and worlds of different races ect... Some of it got pretty creative...
I'm not a fan of fiction.
In Jr, high classic literature class , the series Lord of The Rings was on the shelf for loaners.
I enjoyed it then. And recall parts at times since. Sucess for getting me to read fiction I guess. At least a little. ..
(Most folks who read the series note /recognize quotes from it.)
A key to it all is rings. An individual ring in the popular trilogy.
To kind of sum it up , a bad guy created and gifted rings.
Rings with feature allowing the bad guy an upper hand. And messing up the wearers.
The ruling ring then being a hot commodity...
“Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men, doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.”
