Same thing....me and my uncle used to play with pipe bombs back before 911. One day we were packing match heads into pipes....and BOOM !! We never found my uncles ring, and middle fingers.....they just vanished.....poof and there gone. Some piece of molten shrapnel hit me in the back and melted deep into my shoulder blade !! That was the last time I messed with real explosives.
Morning Bart
Wow! It rents space up in the head for everyone involved for sure.
We use to use the drill press with a wooden dowel to pack the threaded iron pipe.
There was a fellow that packed a electric coffee percolator on the other R/R, lost his arm and one eye.

My uncle...God rest his soul. He was a very disturbed Vietnam veteran.....he was captured and tortured in nam.....he escaped and was helped back to the south.....he was never the same. We were inseparable for many years.....then shortly after the pipe bomb took his hand, the 2 of us got in a horrific head on crash in the bahamas....I broke 7 ribs, broke my jaw, and fractured my skull. My uncle lost his left leg.....and later he took his own life. It was a bad couple years that I barley survived !! God bless uncle Donny !! Tough times !!

Well

I'm not drinking tonight so.......:laughing7:
Just double checking, did this night get recorded in the ship’s log?

I got a call from one of my dealers in Castleton, ON yesterday. He told me. "that a guy who's clearing trees on his property lost his wedding ring on Monday in a foot of snow, asked me if I would come have a look for it." It's an hour drive from my house, so I'll make other dealer calls in the area after I search for the ring.

We had another 1 - 2" of snow last night, so this should be interesting. :laughing7:
I hope you find the ring!

There,s a disease that strikes canines that kills them like that, but I can,t recall the name,Not Distemper.it will absolutely wipe out a population of coons and is deadly to dogs too.It usually strikes overpopulated areas. I,ll think of it later.
30 years ago we had a big problem with Foxes having Distemper & mange & rabies .I called the game warded he said .Shoot em,handle them w/gloves,and burn them completely in a burn barrel.
Signs that got my attention...Seeing Foxes out in a open field (daytime) aimlessly walking around in circles. And with binoculars I could see fur-less tails and bald spots on the bodies.I took out a lot of them that year.( with "Wilbur" a Remington 700 BDL in 25-06)The next year the ones I saw were all nice & healthy.

That's was a terrible experience to have happen Bart. Sometimes things just follow some folks around for no reason, but there's always some reason it happened, some say.
Your Uncle Donny lived some hard ones, and it took him in the end.
The hidden inner injuries are the hardest to repair for many, and the hardest thing for many others as well.

Words are hard to find. I’m sorry you lost your uncle this way. He truly sacrificed himself for his country. Breaks my heart.

How's Mr WD doing now at home-getting a fitful sleep I hope. Hospitals aren't the best place to have peaceful rests.
Well maybe after a shot painkiller it was peaceful for a couple of hrs.:laughing7:
His O2 levels are staying up . We woke up several times through the night. He tried coffee this morning and it was yucky. Tried tea and it was yucky. Settled for apple juice and now he’s sleeping. I am betting when he wakes up that I will be playing nurse. If only I had a uniform.👩‍⚕️

There's the local costume rental, or you can get a tad naughty and go to the toy store and get a uniform.
Now really if were to walk in all dressed up for the part-it might brighten the mood of the sick boy. :laughing7:

Morning Girl.Your looking better:)
Morning, Sexiest. I had to go back to my old thread to remember the ranking of your cobra. Lol.
