Think I,ll stick with the carnival type, deep fried to a crispy golden brown. With mustard, any body who puts Ketchup on corn dogs must be immediately and severely horse whipped.
YAK!
Oh that brought memories back to the days of a carny worker, getting the end of the fair food.
Green from both ends of the spectrum to put it mildly.
40 yrs later I still haven't touched a hot dog.

Not for the faint of heart.

The missus is stuffing a boned leg of lamb as we speak. Spinach, goat cheese, garlic and herbes de provence. Scalloped potatoes and green beans a side dishes. Should be tasty.

What's on the menu with you folks?
bill we’re having bacon wrapped green beans, smashed potatoes, corn bread and glass of sweet tea.

Thanks
They've been a great permission, though it's getting a tad beat.
The handle has a brown Linseed oil Beeswax treatment applied to it, leaves a real nice water resistant coating.
Pepperj, should you ever want to get really into oil finishing wood you should look into some of the finishes gun stock finishers use.Brownell,s and Dixie Gun Works sell some dandy stuff that works on any kind of wood. I like to make fly tying bodkins from oddball pieces of wood I find,it,s basically just a needle glued into a small wood handle but some of the wood has out standing grain that the oil brings out. I use the sanded in method,it,s a bit of work but the result is worth it.Just a thought.
