Dave, Nice job on the tree. We used to put up a tree every year, however, if you think dogs are a problem you should see cats climb up a tree and destroy the decorations....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:
Growing up we had this old Tom cat. We had it down to a science, bring tree in put it in the stand wait, wait.....
20 lb cat would be 3/4 the way up the tree. :laughing7:
Then we could decorate, and all was good.
Seemed to be this ritual that went on every year, till the artificial tree arrived, then he wasn't interested after that.

Good morning Bill.

My wife and I put up the Christmas tree yesterday... our 18 year old daughter wasn't interested in helping. We haven't had a 'full-size' natural tree for years, mainly because we've always had dogs or a young child to protect the tree from. :laughing7:
Good job Mrs. Anti.

Had a great father son moment last night....the kid has been bit by the fishing bug....all he has wanted for the last week is to catch a tarpon....well I specialize in making fishing dreams come true....its what I do for a living !! Well the boy is still hopping up and down after an epic fight with a 40 pound tarpon....it was touch and go for a minute, and I thought that fish might get the best of the boy.....in the end he got his fish to the dock....next one we will get on film....this one was a nighttime catch....he was released without removing him from the water !! The boy still has a smile and is on cloud nine !! I feel so good as a dad being able to make the simple pleasures possible !!
That’s awesome! I hope you two have lots of those moments together!

Southern folks might ask.
What are those items?
I think it might be one if the coolest items ever made.
Story behind them.
Local artisan/friend always seems to be doing these projects.
(Over achievers):laughing7::hello2:
She wanted to try some spinning/weaving using different products.
She asked for fur/hair from Max.
Well she gifted the Mrs a toque and mitts made from our Max.
The white trim is from their sheep.
Now how cool is that!
The lady said Max will grab them, she was correct on that-sniff/chomp.:laughing7:
I wonder if the Mrs will smell like a wet dog after playing in the snow? 🤔
The 2 🙀 will be wondering WTF why do you smell like him?

Looks good!

I went down a rabbit hole looking for Oregon Viking s pin. I couldn’t find a positive ID. If it is religious, I came up with this symbolism:

Blue = heaven
Shield = God
Cross= Jesus
S= (Holy) Spirit or the “S” could mean servant and it might be a missionary’s lapel pin which might explain the two distant locations.

My other theory is it could be an early version of a lapel pin worn by blue cross blue shield insurance sales rep.

That’s the best I could come up with. Probably way off on both. 🤪

Ok pirates-I'm not seeing any long gift wrapped detector boxes for the loving wives, husband, or children under those lovely looking Xmas trees.
No more detectors in this house. I’ve got 4 covered with baseball caps. Gotta get this knee in good order then we’ll head back to CW country.
