I took our daughter to the train station yesterday, she was heading back to university after having been home all week during 'Reading Week'. This is a week during a university's term where no teaching takes place, generally so that students may prepare for tests.

As the train pulled into the station she caught me off guard by giving me a hug. Now, our daughter has had anxiety, ADHD and numerous other challenges since she was born and one thing she has a problem with is physical contact, so giving her a hug has always been a challenge.

She didn't say anything, but I almost started to cry when she did this. 🥲
My son is similar..... dosent like giving hugs or a lot of physical touching. Every hug is a treasure.....glad you cherish it as much as I do !!

She looks real nice roger !!
LOL... and now for the rest of the story.Shot was taken a few years ago - my 1st Pro Craft. Took it deer hunting to the Mountain and just pulled the boat up on shore(I know stupid).A few hrs later I returned to see the boat adrift :( Seems that morning the Dam let in just enough water for the boat to float away.A full days walk to the nearest road/house ,and out of cell phone range....Long story short ....A wind came from nowhere's and blew to boat back to me.:) (I know Lucky):)

Where did this saying come from?

bow chicka wow wow - Urban Dictionary

https://www.urbandictionary.com › define › term=bow ...

"it refers to the ubiquitous wah pedal effect used on virtually every recorded guitar part in the decade after it was featured in the popular ..."

"From onomatopoeia for the stereotypical funk riff used in the soundtracks to pornographic films."

From an intensive investigated search it seems the origin of the saying is from Jordan Brady

You’ve likely spotted Jordan Brady in small roles on television shows like Baywatch,

I was afraid the Captain has been busted finally-viewing Baywatch...who knew.:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

verbal means of referencing a sexual encounter, act or deed. Also used to identify someone or thing that is sexual.

I hear you about the 'hugs thing' Bart... this was the first uninitiated hug I've got from her in 18+ years.

Well....I was supposed to do a little treasure type TV show. It was looking good for awhile, and I started to joke about changing my name to bart Reynolds !! I belive there was a small joke about the adult entertainment industry !! And BOW CHIKA BOW WOW..... Bart Reynolds was born !! I give credit to the cap, and rook for carrying on my stage name !!

Hey RTR
Maybe in the future get a remote control trolling motor and keep the control in your pocket. Wait. Your motor would have to be down. Anyway. Good Karma that day.

Lucky you!
Just heard the other day about cell phones and being out in the wilds.
Seems there was a "social media" re-tweets that a person should "leave a message on their phone where they are located"
Bad idea the search and rescue says:
This burns up battery life.
No cell service-can't get reception from 3rd party (message service)
Emergency service can't locate from a message

Best advice when lost or in trouble out in the wilds:
Just dial/hit "911" on the phone
Even if there isn't reception on the phone it still pings the multiple towers in the background.
They can then locate a person.

Gee who knew

Good morning Bill, Bart and Antiquarian.

My dad was the same way about hugs, affection in general. My mom, eh, sometimes. I grew up without mostly. Then I gave them grandkids and that changed the whole dynamics.
It seems that some families it just doesn't happen. Culture, internal family dynamics, etc.
I never got a hug from my father-he passed when I was 49.
I must of been probably in my mid 40's before my mother started to give a hello/bye hugs.
Felt kind of strange actually to get a hug from somebody that one has known all their life.
Gee it was 10 yrs ago today she passed-Hugs Mom....

Been talking to my friend tom ruck.....for some strange reason I've had some very serious pirate friends !! Tom was featured on americas most wanted in the late 80s, early 90s. He ran the largest drug smuggling operation in Florida history !! I herd he had been released and had been seen in vero on the beach. Sure enough he saw me on the beach and we reconnected. He also found, and illegally salvaged millions in 1715 treasure !! He found 200 gold esqudos on riomar reef !! And may have found a portion of the queens jewels with the infamous pirate treasure hunter David Luke. He has been keeping me abreast of beach conditions and treasure finds that are happening !! What a hoot !! Been alot of fun talking treasure and hearing all manner of modern day pirate stories !!
