Morning Arc, Bart, Bill

Woke up to the opening sounds of Daffy season. Oh well

Jim/CreakyDigger,

A trick for dealing with slugs....spread some sawdust around the plants they tend to attack to deter them.

Now that's a wonderful idea Bill, thanks.

Good morning to all.

Jim,

Another option for the slugs is diatomaceous earth which is even more of a deterrent for slugs and snails.

I have seen more coins from this spot....450 more !! I have found a few myself at this very secret spot....I believe I'm the very last person to know the exact spot !! Cool weather will have me back searching again !!

I did a couple of treatments with Wollastonite and it seemed to be working up till the heavy rains. I got a dump truck load brought in from the mine a while back.

Now the only thing about the diatomaceous earth is has to be reapplied after every rain-but it sure works.

Maybe a mixture of the 3 together sawdust, diatomaceous, and wollastonite.

I'm back again :BangHead::BangHead: Second time w/in a week the computer went to the shop.See how long this fix works:tongue3:

We've been without a landline for 5 says now.
Repair was out yesterday, threw his fellow lineman under the bus, tried to sell us internet, after he was told we can't get it
He still tried, phoned in our Addy, "oh you can't get it"
Still no phone, I guess he needs a bus correction.

Now if anyone has the solution for why I can't view videos on this site I would give you a like.

Jim,

A fellow we know used to spend the weekends at his family's cottage and would work from there running his own business. Since the internet was more or less non existant he installed a satellite dish on a flagpole.

This allowed him to receive high speed wireless internet service from about 50 miles to the nearest internet tower. Food for thought!

We marinated some chicken breast in yoghurt, lemon juice and lots of garlic....that'll be done on the barbeque. We'll roast up some yellow beets and carrots in the oven. We picked up a bag of new yellow fleshed potatoes so I'll be roasting them in the air fryer with some oil and seasonings.

We eat pretty good for poor retired folks...:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

Our strip clubs are still closed here....
So your outta a girlfriend currently ? ? ?

Nope...

that is where both of them work!

:3some:

hahahaha...sorry...I cant resist either!

Didn't try it , stale beer in a jar buried with the top near ground level is supposed to drown them.

I leave some beer in the can, (gets warm anyways) ..flatten it a bit and set it on the ground with the opening at ground level...they come in and drown...
Then I just throw the whole thing away instead of cleaning any sort of container...

pine needles work, especially around strawberries...

Going deer hunting this season.:)Taking the boat to Smith Mt. 20,000 acres and probably no other hunters.:) Its about a half day walk just to get to this site. Shot 3 deer in the last 4 trips at this location. 2009_12040008.webp2009_12040006.webp2009_12040026.webp2009_12040016.webp2009_12040005.webp
