Got up early today...walked out to get a water in the dark....stepped on something wet and squishy....it was a damn hairball from the cat...AAARRRFFFF !! Right between the toes....almost threw up my own mess !! Not exactly how I like to start my day !!

It's always something being a pirate.

Most morning's after, it's the hair of the dog.
Then a morning like this your bright eyed, raring to go, and you got the other between the toes.

Notice the cat didn't step on it....

Property behind the house was logged recently.
I expected deer would find browse where sunlight reached the ground next year.
Dogs barked when we went out just after daylight , a der had bedded near the fence.
It sashayed away. Then came back in a couple minutes watching and listening before turning around and sliding off again.
It does not want to use the cover along the fence with us there , but does not want to be in the more open logged area either...
