Where I come from. Secret beach.. although not anymore.
To the left is a large cavern... I will get pics. A zodiac will go there but only on a calm day. ... The cavern not the beach. Ling cod, Cabezon, red snapper... yep!! Plentiful on the coast.

Morning world and to all the merry :coffee2:drinkers

Morning Rook and Jim.

I'm curious, is Presidents Day/Washington's Birthday a national holiday across the country or do some states not recognize it?

Today is Family Day here in Canada, so it's a day off here in Ontario.

"Family Day is February 15. Family Day is not a national statutory holiday, it is only observed in New Brunswick, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan and in British Columbia.
Other provinces have holidays in February on the same day but these holidays aren't called family day."

Query back at you Dave:
That's some pretty fancy sophisticated looking equipment you'll be dealing with in the near future once you iron out the few wrinkles.
My question is-Does that new fangled looking rig sift dirt?
Just thinking ahead.......
In answer to your question Jim, yes it will level the gravel sub-base of the slab prior to the concrete being poured.

We're having some salmon steaks and doing a roasted red pepper casserole with feta cheese, olives, etc....on the side.

Maybe splurge and get a fancy dessert during our errands today.
Sounds great Bill. As usual, my daughter turned her nose up at my breaded fish last night, but my wife loved it. Every time my daughter turns up her nose at the meals I cook I say, “just wait till you have to cook your own meals when you’re at university, you’ll be texting me saying, Dad I miss the meals you worked so hard to make me when I still lived at home. She then says, that’ll never happen Dad.”

Mornin all!

I've been instructed to clean the snow and ice off the outdoor grill for beef tenderloin today.
No one stole my snow shovels...So I'll make it to the grill , eventually.
I did shovel off about a foot of snow from it the other day to get started on cleaning it off.

Antiqui:
Who knows what the company you are courting has in mind.
Seems someone had an idea of a Canadian employee besides the Canadian....
Despite the learning they require to understand the logistics of benefits, it could lead to more Canadian employees, input, and perhaps distribution.
I've no idea of the company's plans though or if they are looking to be more of a presence in Canada. If they are looking for a better presence and understanding of the logistics there, I'm confident you're their man.

A good international business does not get tangled up at/on borders. And when traveling in strange parts, it's hard to beat a local guide that understands the locales etiquette.. Even well beyond just knowing the law.
But they know that, I'll wager...(The usual nickel.)
So how did the beef tenderloin turn out on the BBQ last night RC? Thanks very much for your insight into this RC. :icon_thumright:
The company has indicated that as sales increase, I would become responsible for hiring, managing, and setting up the distribution here in Canada.

Oh, don't misunderstand. Trying to know whom it is one is trying to hire is necessary. (Since one's word became worthless)

I understand all that, and more. I was referring to how the whole commercial world is *STRENUOUSLY* pushing how people can make their *CREDIT* worthiness stronger and stronger! Why? Because if the identity is stolen and the person has poor credit....its useless....to them!

The desire is to have the highest, most sparkling credit score! Why? So the person can qualify for more and more expensive things AND can buy them!! On money They *DO NOT HAVE*! Hence....become a *slave*.

On top of that? The identity theft business has better and better prospects!!! Thief cashes in and the victim is left to clean up the mess. Proving they shouldn't *have* to start over, rebuilding their credit worthiness they'd already proved once.

So background checks? Necessary. But many take them *too* damned far.

I was once told that because I didn't have a particular certification paper they were resistant to hiring me. I told them, "If....this company is more interested in a piece of paper stating I can do what I say. Then, my taking you to the console and actually demonstrating what I can do, right now. Then, I am less interested in working for a company that holds such beliefs."

They called my perceived bluff....I demonstrated what their current M.I.S. *didn't* know. I got the job.

Unrealistic? What would Marion Robert Morrison say?
That was a great story Whadi. Companies used to hire people to sell to people, what the heck does my personal credit rating have to do with my sales skills anyway? Thankfully, my wife and I have spotless credit with minimal personal debt (house & car), we pay cash for everything and only use the credit card as required to.
Glad to hear you got the job. :hello2:

The boss gets what she likes. I'm just the chief cook and bottle washer
I don’t think I’ve ever asked my wife what her favourite meal is. :icon_scratch:
She’s very easy going and gets excited whenever I make tacos or my home-made hamburgers on gluten-free bread for her. We just might have to do tacos this week.

Was buying our cooktop a few years back and we have a mish/mash of everything for cookware.
There's this 10 pc 7 ply stainless cookware by Wolf, there was no way I would pay what a set was worth.
Well this set had been sitting there for a few years it seemed, it was marked down nearly 50%, still I couldn't justify the money.
The owner walked over and started to smooth chat me, great set, has one, loves it, you know folks you either done it, or had it done to you.
I looked Mr.C and said I'll give you $300 cash for that set.
He looked left, glanced right-looked over to his sales guy sitting at his desk, and said put this in the box for Jim.
We just put it in the pantry this past week, being sitting in the storage room downstairs since we brought it home
Wow, what a beautiful looking set of cookware Jim, I actually get excited when I see this type of thing.
Man am I getting old, I used to get excited seeing a picture of Cheryl Ladd… now I get excited when I see cookware. :tongue3:

So if we take it to a site it'll sift the finds out, I don't need a leveler, I need a sifter. :laughing7:

Lincoln and Washington were born in the same month of the year, so the two national holidays were combined into "President's Day". I think they just picke a day inbetween the two days. The way things are going the could just make it a Federal Holiday week, with paid time off...

...what the hell, make it February a Federal Holiday month. I don't know why they don't just take the whole years of 2020-2024 off work. The way things are going it would increase production and lower costs.

Gotta celebrate george Lincoln's and Abe Washington's birthdays. They are very important to our nation's history. :occasion14:

Morning bart and the rest of the crew

Ice storm knocked out the town water supply, until Wed. at earliest .Good thing I filled up the bathtub a couple days ago. Good thing Bud Light is 90% plus water:):occasion14:
