Hello there Rook! Nice to see's ya!
I Ser the weather has been picking on alot of us lately.
Bad, bad, Mr winter!

Thank you Rook.
My potential new employer has hired an outside firm (HireRite) to do extensive background checks on me before I can actually start the job.

Here in Canada, employers simply request a drivers abstract and a physical/blood/urine tests be preformed.
But these US based employers dig much deeper, almost to the point of it being an invasion of my privacy.

They're currently preforming a criminal record check, social media check, credit check and medical background checks. :tongue3:
Thankfully, I don't have any skeletons in my closet, so I have nothing to worry about, but I'm still slightly offended.

You'll know you're getting close to being hired when they knock on the house door to enter , and then peek in your underwear drawer...
:laughing7:

...Ser...auto correct wins again!
I can ma in e (make) mistakes all by myself!
It had to help with that also. Guess I need to ramp up my mistake quota.

Anti they are just covering their Arses, in case in the future anything goes south. I say we are entitled to the same info on them! Wouldn't that be an eye opener! :icon_cyclops_ani:

Awww...I was missed! I'll dodge and weave less next time!
...oh...you ment the other missed!
Ahhh...more rum for you all! :occasion14::occasion14::hello2:

Mornin all!
My memory sparked and fizzed during sleep from deliberating on a gold cache(s) accounting reminder , where I was thinking of the area (private) , and why a particular person had been involved with....
Anyways I lived close to the site without knowing thirtyish years ago. Not that knowing back then would have changed anything.
But oddly , the person I had a transaction with many miles from the site ....Has ties to the area same as I had , but it was either a brother , or the same guy that I had a transaction with those many years ago.
And more , that same person or near appearing brother , was a volunteer fireman that I found leaning on my hog pen when they responded to a neighbors fire.
I wasn't supposed to have hogs. But was not reported.
That offset the transaction I'd had prior with him I was not overly impressed with.

Thought the guy at an unrelated business where gold became the topic was vaguely familiar decades later. Last nights quiet brought the same last name together...
Which when the businesses are considered , makes sense on how the gold came into focus on both ends of the distance .
Now what? l.o.l..

Hello Everybody! I hope you all are good and well! This last week has been nasty for weather, we are averaging -34 C temps with windchills making the temp -48 to -50 C.
The weather explains my absence as I am also on shift, long days and nights trying to keep pumpjacks and gas wells thawed and flowing. The good thing is that it warms up dramatically on Monday.
I stopped in at the plant here to grab some parts, check my email and say hi!

Take care! Stay warm!! :coffee2:

Dang that's chilly! It was 22 F (-5 C) here earlier... it was warm enough to drive down the highway with a window open! I can't remember when it was but I remember it getting down to -39 F in the morning a few years ago, now THAT was cold.
