I really thought there would be more....and there is....I just didn't dig them up. The way everyone was anchored made it more difficult to hunt than normal. Met a nice girl from islamorada named Lisa. Said she likes to hunt too so maybe we will meet up at the spot in the future. Got another fake cobb too !!

Congrats on your job dave....hope you make it to florida sooner than later. Maybe we can both crash the captains cabin for a rum drink.
Thanks very much Bart, it’s been a few years since I’ve been to Florida, Disney World in 2014.
I used to love going to Bahama Breeze whenever I was in Orlando, what a fun place that was.

Anti, those bust above your dog pics. Ludwig and whom?
Hi Fat, yes Beethoven and I think the other one is of Robert Burns. The Robert Burns bust was an inheritance from my grandfather when he passed in 1986.
When our daughter was young, she was absolutely terrified of Beethoven… I never understood why though. :icon_scratch: :laughing7:

Morning Bill. :hello:

Congrats on your gold wedding ring find yesterday Bart! :hello2:

I was figuring that it was a days pay. When I take a day off thats all I really hope for. It helps me justify to my wife playing hookie from work. She never says much until I bring home some gold, then its "alright great day hunny".

Morning...anyone know anything about Ring bolts ? 002.JPG008.JPG007.JPG

Beethoven is one of my favorite rock-n-roll superstars!

Beethoven Symphony No.9 2nd movement-

Compare that to more "modern" music- like the latest Stupor Bowl Half-wit show. It's like comparing Salvador Dali to your kid's coloring books.

Morning one and all.

Aye! Foggy from water to star today mates, ...

Saw you post and thought of these guys because I thought they were the "Foggy" Bottom Boys. :laughing7:

Noah...where do you think you'll be staying ?? If you have a choice pick the treasure coast....this will increase your odds greatly. I like to stay in vero...half way between sebastion and ft. Pierce. Right in the middle of the 1715 treasure fleet disaster.
lots of areas here for sure. Unfortunately The county officials in all their wisdom(?) are continuing with beach re-nourishment south of McClarty to Ambersand beach, so nothing there but an extra 2-3 feet of sand. Turtle Trail is still in the thick of things until next late summer, when that gets sanded. Most of the beaches have filled back in from the lower beaches last fall. Lost or damaged quite a few dune crossings. Sphillips says the beaches in Ft. Pierce don't get re-nourished.

.... Pete, ya shoulda known he was fibbing when he said, “milk.” Only when he says, “rum,” can you believe that Cap’n.

Heh heh, Yeah, you're so right! But he just gave those "Doe Eyes", crossed his heart and said "Later!" as the screen door slammed closed.

Good morning WD and Rook. :coffee2:

Well, here she is fresh from her day at the spa. :laughing7:

She cleans up nicely. Her before pic reminded me of a "grand prize" stuffed animal from the milk jug throw at the carnival.

MDHTALK - Tip: Metal Detecting the 1715 Treasure Fleet
First piece of information for noah....its pretty good at describing the basics of the treasure coast....perhaps pete will chime in also with some helpful info !!

(See the other info up above.) Noah, and anyone else, I'll be glad to help however I can when you are in town. Maybe SPhillps and I can show you around when you are in the area. If you like camping or RVing there is Sebastian inlet state park or Longpoint Park. not sure about availability, but might happen with possible lower demand due to covid.

Another great site for the treasure coast....often there will be actual photos of the beaches and you can see the cut and conditions at the different beaches. Keeps you up to date with the beach renourishment and the day to day conditions. The site is different but it seems to be continuing on from its 2020 and earlier style site.

Great link to a great ad free site. He does a fantastic job with up to date info and finds.

"Oh you show me the money hunny"( For the older pirates )

Newer version for the rocking pirates

Then again one can go to the heavier rock version.

OK STOP!!! I'll go with the first version. Nice ring Bart-got to love those sausage fingered losses. :notworthy:

There is no such uncertainty as a sure thing... Robert Burns
I like this kind of lesson. I have heard many of his quotes but never put the words to the man.
I don’t think you need any “luck” but good work on your new job. I’ve heard this from several different coach’s in my life. “Good teams make there own luck”. Hard work and preparation pay off. When you like what your doing, living the dream, such, enjoying life is so much easier. It seems to me that you live with that spirit. I like it..

I tried to watch the posted up version of the 1/2 time-I fast forwarded it a few times thinking that it might get better-you bestowed a good amount of credit with the "Half"-then again is there any standing below a 1/2?

Hey Fat, you are right about the rodeo being honest as open wheel racing.

I've never been to a rodeo, but once I have met a guy that lived it.

I met one (didn't know it until I asked him) on July/4th/85 on the rear landing of the fire escape of the old Brook's Hotel in Alberta.
I climbed out of a 2 week black out, and there he was, shirtless, big old buckle, 6 pack gut, had more zipper marks on that body than an old sewed up pair of pants.
He said: "Looks like you just came back from a long trip"
Reply: "Ya I did"
Then I asked with the zig-zag finger pointing on my body; "What do you do-to get all of this?"
He said: I'm a rodeo star"
Reply: That's cool-do you know where there's a phonebook?"

That’s a beauty bart. Congratulations

Thanks Bart, it looks like there's a lot of reading to do on both of those websites. Even more information after doing a little bit of clicking!

I know the odds aren't in my favor for finding something from one of these wrecks but seeing pictures of these crusty old cobs is making my stomach jittery with excitement. :laughing7:

PepperJ, wearing jewelry is for women and sissies. (And cops, but the guberment makes them wear it)

The man I met was a poet along with being a cowboy. He wasn't wearing any jewlery other than a wristwatch.
I think everyone should wear jewelry... more for us to find!
