THE Random Chat Thread - AKA "The RCT" - No shirt or shoes required - Open 24 / 7

Just remember to be "easy" on pic uploads.

And definitely do not quote someone's post that has pictures ... WITH the pictures anyway.

IF you want to quote a post... remove the pictures by deleting the "attach" parameters.

SO...this RCT wont end up like the last RCT.

Arcsy, Arcsy, Arcsy, It's OK. We will all be here to rebuild another ship, if need be. And just think, then you will be in the running for starting the most threads with the same topic, next to the Oak Island ones, of course. :glasses12::laughing9:

But guys, feel free to use the Gif, Pics and More thread to post pics and link back to them on here. That's why it was created. It is the fireship.

Once upon a time we were at chamberlain SD the interstate crosses river there and there’s jetty of structure. Above not far? the dam ft Thompson? I think.. anyways the water was lowere than normal and above fishing was really finicky. Low to high and back3-4 feet in a day. Below town is the stumps, shaggy trashy community spot for about a 5 state region. Busy, every local for 200 miles wants to be there to just see how they would have done3 fish 12 pounds not that hard to do for anybody there but when 100 pro boats and 300 wannabes it’s crowded. Lots of pressure, slow bite. I took the Lund factory guys out but We went cruising around to just look see. There’s an Indian school there strait east of marina and take off. I saw some kids catch a fish from the bank when we left and than few hours later saw anther as we were headed back. I got on pickup and drove around and that day they had around a 25 pound stringer when it only took15-18 back to back to win the derby.
Ron’s amateur day two partner ended up winning the amateur side just below the stumps.

Morning Jim, it was heavy wet snow, all I can say is... I'm so glad I bought that Honda snowblower last winter. :laughing7:
How are your chickens doing these days, hopefully you haven't lost any to the fox lately?

No fox-but it's coming up for that time again-but I'm pretty protective of the flock right now-well the fact I leave the barn door wide open (see imaginary pic) and the young ones go in and out-well until it snowed and even the 3 roosters don't want to venture out now (see imaginary pic) Still I don't venture too far away.
I wonder with this dumping of snow (see imaginary pics) that it will stay for an insulating blanket plus the leaves-I could do some bush detecting still.
I've been looking at this site location ( see imaginary pic) what do you think?
(Note to reader:Pepperj has abided by the RCT rules and posting of all content pics) :occasion14:

Talking about Jim's chickens reminded me of this scene from WKRP in Cincinnati. :laughing7:
I used to watch this show years ago, it was good clean humour.

Yeah its like NASCAR on water :)

Happy New year, Roger. I just did the big fish tournaments. The ramps are busy, and parking is tight, but there is no rush to take off. Which is good, because I wouldn't be able to handle that.

Glad to hear your 'chicken babies' are all safe and sound Jim.

I had a look at the 7-day weather forecast for this coming week, and most daytime temps are going to be a balmy 2c.
I just might have to charge up the batteries on my Deus and head out for my first hunt of 2021... or maybe I'll just play another game of video golf on my phone. :laughing7:

I hope this thread gets some traction...the beach and shallow water guys are a tough crowd to impress !!

Funny, it's 7am on Sunday morning and the feeling just came over me that I need to get ready to go detecting. :laughing7:

Then I remembered it's January and all I can either play video golf on my phone, take the dog around the block or do the laundry. :sadsmiley:

Dave you only restrict the life-get out in the warm PM of the day.
Now the detector will detect through a little snow-most bush that has a leaf blanket is as soft as a maiden spring hunt.
So:
#1: Look for tree filled site
#2: That requires you to do a tad bit of research (Instead of doing the golf game passion on phone) Buy yourself a Wi thingy a my jig, (Oh our shoulder isn't right still from swing that dang bat!)
#3: Get back on schedule and do the do on Saturday like you use to.
#4: Now is the time-why wait for spring-do it now.
#5: Go with the line-Oh dear I'm just going for a car ride with the puppy again to get her use to the motion.......Meanwhile the case is hidden under car blanket......:laughing7:

I am sure it will.... a find like that.. come on... 1715 era ships may have had 2 of those each... if even.

Ya just an incredible find.....so coveted by collectors !!

Good morning guys...I got a day off !! Wooo hooo !!

Good morning fellas.

So I got into (once again - I really gotta let this issue go) a scrap on another forum about the confederate flag. I noticed everyone who seemed to hate its very colors were all from the North: Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, Wisconsin, etc. Everyone who seemed that they wanted to keep it was all from the South: Mississippi, Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, and me, Kentucky. Well after days of arguing back and forth over the issue, I pointed out what I noticed, and I said "look, hold no animosity towards your Southern brethren for waving the flag, and we will hold no animosity towards you for waving your Biden flags. Deal?" I'm gonna get in trouble now! :laughing7:

I could really hear the excitement in your voice when you posted that thread on CMD Kevin! :hello2:
Both of those gold rings are incredible finds, but I really like that early signet ring.
Funny... you take your wife with you in your hobby and I use the hobby to spend quality time away from mine. :tongue3:

Those are really cool finds! Did kiddo post on today’s finds?

My second attempt is a little better...very close to the one I was trying to copy...still working on the cascabell. Will try to carve and attach dolphins and trunnions.

Morning Bart
Hope you get caught up and have a few hrs of playtime today-being off and all.
