Had a break in last night...this morning I mean. About 345 am loud noises from the living room window woke me up. It sounded like someone coming in through the window and hung in the vertical blinds. I quickly got my revolver and crept around the corner....the wife and kid were hiding in the corner of the bedroom at this point. I pulled the hammer back and was prepared to blow an intruder back out the window. I quickly turned the lights on and all I saw was 2 cats legs sticking out of the vertical blinds. She finally broke free and popped out with a large rat that had got in thru a screen. Speedy is our old trusty black cat. She's about 13 or 14 but can still do work !! Im proud of the old girl and she's getting a soft food reward now !! Good job speedy...wooo hooo she's a rat catcher. He broke in the wrong house !!

You might want to consider getting another cat as a trainee for when your cat retires.
Sounds like Speedy would be a great tutor.

I've been reading through the thread posts from yesterday, it sure sounds like there's a mixture of opinions regarding the effectiveness of cloth masks. I too have my doubts about how the general public wears masks, but it's a heck of a lot better than wearing no mask at all. I believe that cloth masks give us a false sense of security and unless you're actually wearing an N95 mask in an enclosed environment, like in a retail store, then you're at risk of contracting Covid.

All I can say, is that I usually develop a chest or sinus infection each year and yet this year I haven't been sick once... so maybe all the hand sanitizer and masks we use are actually working.

I have to go to Walmart today to pick up a few things and you better believe I'll be wearing my N95 mask.

We have a trainee cat....she's 4 and usally is the killer. This time though she was caught snoozing....I was already holding a dead rat by the tip of its tail when she came running in the room with the what just happened look on her kitty face.
