There is definitely much more to this than most people think....just the trunion placement alone is critical to Design. Ive been pondering trunion placement for awhile now. I think I'm custom made to do this work....the preferred material for plug cannons is mahogany and I just happen to have some. And bronze...well I have at least 1500 pounds. Not to mention my lathe skills are good enough to do the guns. Im gonna expand our scope of inventory with some new mahogany plugs....I like these 2-3foot guns !!

Hello WD good morning

Morning WD and RTR

Didn’t see WIF, morning.

Thats probably a very easy one....very sleek and sexy.

A oddity store in Appomattox Va. had 2 smaller (operational) ones outside .I tried as hard as I could with no luck to buy one:(:(
They were probably 6 pounders. In bad need of restoration, especially the wheels.Just chained out outside wasting away :(:(

Morning WD
How goes your online shopping experiences?

Mornin all!

Busted a stud on the solenoid for the plow. Time to replace it apparently.
Have two red wires corroded and broken/floating around.
Where did they come from?
Been here before a few years ago. But the one wire gave me fits trying to find where it came from ...

One must be battery powered. The other , ignition.
Both fused. One (or both) probably have a relay.
Crawled around under the hood with a flashlight to find a bank of relays with so much corrosion (air dam was removed to install plow carriage , salt rolls under hood and goes all over. Replaced dip tubes for oil and tranny. Tranny pan ,ect....) I don't dare spray them with penetrant for fear corrosion is all that holds them together.

Suspect the mystery wire was plugged into one of those relays.
Now , how to find another fused ignition source....

Ah well. I'll save that for last. Plenty to do on the other wiring and solenoid replacement. Working through a narrow gap.
