Good morning ARC, Rook, Jim, Ethan, Roger Bill and Bart.

Good morning fellas.

I finally sold those STG44 and MP44 Magazines, as well as some arrowheads and stuff, making well over $1,000 profit.

Before that though, I managed to pick up some goodies at an antique shop in Huntington WV. A WWII Victory Medal, a WWII Good Conduct medal (my great grandfather earned both) and a WWI British Brodie helmet, all for under $50. I also bought a huge lot of relics found in the vicinity of Elsenborne Ridge, Belgium, where the Germans met stiff American resistance during the battle of the bulge. By the way, tomorrows the 74th anniversary of the battle...
That's amazing you were able to turn over your finds into profit Ethan, that's what collecting, buying and selling is all about! :occasion14:
You can't take it with you when you die, so you may as well pass it along.
Dave

Nice fish. I didn't know anybody ate those things. Think I'll stick with pompano.

For the ladies out there, this is a demi culverin.

What an amazingly beautiful view Jim, you should post pics of the same view through all four seasons.

I remember standing on you deck thinking... it's too darn quiet here, I feel like I need to take a nap. :laughing7:

When I was working up north, I would turn off of Hwy 655 heading north from Timmins while driving to Hearst.
There was a side road to a tailings pond north of the
Kidd Creek Gold Mine, I would stop there just to 'listen to the silence'.

I think there was a car that went down past the house last Friday/sat. :icon_scratch:

We pretty well have the bay to ourselves from Labour Day till May, so we are very fortunate in many ways to have the silence, but those birds can be noisy at times.:laughing7:

Hours after dark I'll hear kids hollering down the road where a gazillion Christmas lights light up the woods.
They get tossed , or escorted out the door briefly. Exercise , or just to get the stink blown off a little.

Between the lights and noise , their rooster gets charged up and sounds off. Not sure why I find it humorous. But it brings a smile.

It was quiet around midnight.
Got thinking the tree frogs have been done till next year. Wonder where they are wintering...

A couple trees popped in the cold. Other than those pops , not a sound.

Last week before this snow I thought I'd spotted a toad on the concrete in the dark. (too cold though).
Gotta avoid running them over out of habit , so I nudged it with my shoe. Of course it moved and made a "scritching" sound. Danged curled oak leaf...
