There was a side road to a tailings pond north of the Kidd Creek Gold Mine, I would stop there just to 'listen to the silence'.

Congratulations on your anniversary Bill! Both of my parents smoked a pack a day for many years until the late 1970s when they decided to quit cold turkey at the same time. As a kid, I remember everyday at around 5:30pm Mom and Dad would mix up a Bacardi and coke and have a smoke in the living room to discuss their day before dinner.
