Does size matter?

"You can separate the men from the boys-by the price/size of their toys" :laughing7:

Now does every man want a small cannon?:dontknow:

I guess it all depends on what circles one travels in.

Here's my Cannon Find :tongue3::occasion14:011.JPG

Women like demi culverins. The longer the better.

Jim,

Mine was found in a circa 1920's school yard I did find a 2nd one at another local but it was only a piece. Some kid probably packed in too much powder and blew it up....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

Well the vaccines are starting to get rolled out today so let's keep our fingers crossed it helps to flatten the curve going forward.

Good morning Msbeepbeep. How’s it going?

Morning Boatlode

Cannons ? Rum?
Here we go!

[Joseph Martin writes of soldiers eagerly chasing after spent British cannon balls that rolled harmlessly among them. Lugging the ball to the artillery officer, the ball was immediately added to the American munitions to return the favor; meanwhile the soldier was rewarded with a ration of rum for each ball he retrieved.]

Fair trade, RC. Here's me hoard of canon balls...please pass de rum!

Morning Rook, it was raining ice, s-o-w-d earlier but the temp rose, so just rain now....oh! You ment me:laughing7:
I'm hanging in there... To stubborn to surrender. :laughing7:

How fairs yourself and crew?

Story time- when I was a kid I took a toy brass cannon, drilled a touch hole in it with a hand powered drill, load it with powder cut from a rocket engine along with a bunch of split shot for fishing. Placed firecracker fuse in touch hole, cannon propped up against a peice of log, and fired at peice of plywood against garage at home. The split shot went through the plywood and neatly embedded deep into the garage siding.

I considered it a great success, seeing as how the cannon did not explode and toy remained intact.

Mom and Dad were extreamly upset. Like I said- a great success.

One of the grandkids tested positive for covid. She just had slight fever, seems to be doing well. The rest of her family had to get tested and isolate. Waiting to hear how they faired. They are in another state.
And the beat goes on...dance boatman, dance.

Ah, the little successes in life!
Good morning Duckshot.
