What an amazing hunt you had yesterday Jim! :occasion14:
I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing when you sent me that pic of the copper Kettle Point.

Love the detail on the 18thc cuff-link too.
What a great day you had out and without your 'rooster entourage' for moral support too. :laughing7:

I'm voting BANNER for your Kettle Point find!
All we need now is for Cru to chime in with his endorsement.

Dave

Thanks for the nod Dave.
I looked at the historical atlas last night and went through 4 neighbouring districts and only found one person's name that could have the initials I P.
Then again being the traveled rote it could be a person from long away places also. Though the links were well worn before they were lost as the link chain is worn through.

I’m guessing mid 1600’s AARC

Hello and good morning.....I've missed alot in the last few days !!

Was just thinking about you Bart-Good morning:hello:
Last post was a snow flake :coffee2:mug filled with...........
Was wondering if you went for a bender from the contents of a blender........:laughing7:

And AARC, it’s got 345,000 miles on it.:coffee2:

Holiday seasons have got me stretched out...fishing 12-14 hours a day, cutting mahogany and building more than one piece of furniture at a time, restoring a 33 foot sloop, getting ready to pour some bronze cannons, and tracking some gold coins.....getting busy down here.

Funny how everyone wants to go find gold coins.....then when its time to actually go....no one can be found. As is always the case ill do better on my own anyway. I have formulated a solo plan thats pretty straight forward and easy.

Good morning Bart you're quite the multi tasker!
Not really bill.....its killing me !! Something has got to give. Ive got pins and needles in my right arm from a bulging disc....to much work !!

.................

I've only found one cannon myself-so I really don't have an opinion on who's right/wrong-if it is/or isn't. Until all the important pieces are fitted into the puzzle it's still a :icon_scratch::dontknow:

Now (pic) cannon was special as my Brother passed on and I was out in the fields digging in England. I received news and it was a impossible to come back and make it in time for any type of service as there wasn't any concrete plan.
So I said to myself the first nice find I got that next day-I would dedicate it in honour of my brother. We ended up in a field down the road from this abbey that really was not a great digging history but as I walked onto the field one of the first targets was this cannon.
