Only way I would ever hunt is if I was starving and HAD to... sheesh I don't even fish anymore for fun...

I figure everyone else is doing it enough as it is and populations are already struggling and if I am not trying to survive then there is no need.

Hope there will be some left when and if it is ever needed to survive.

IF Crap ever hits the proverbial fan...

Everyone and their brother will all be hunting the same things... and species will quickly be sent into an already scarce oblivion of nothing...

and then everyone will starve. heh

It might come to that AARC. If the trucks stopped running most cities would starve out in a week or two, maybe only days if people hoard or loot. And unfortunately no, there will not be enough for everyone.

But there's plenty to eat everywhere in the woods around here. It just depends on how hungry you are.

Early one yesterday, too many leg cramps so I needed a extra this morning. Way too much digging of late, and yesterday the soil was frozen solid for the first 3" in the patch. Made for a jumping on shovel type day breaking ground.

You're fighting it.
Just throw a heating pad on overnight on the spots you want to dig...

I didn't gut shoot it on purpose I threw up with the scope and fired. I shouldn't of done that but I was excited!

The 77 has a three position safety.
I throw it in the middle to shoot and keep squeezing and squeezing ,and it don't fire.
Then I get too excited , throw it forward farther, then jerk the trigger.
I probably won't be hunting dangerous game with it.... Or rather , I shouldn't. Make that , won't be.

I've been doing some foraging even though I live in the city. Lots of parks I've picked dandelions, lambs quarter and wild black raspberries as well as crab apples.

In a pinch there's broad leaf plantain and other wild plants to be had if you know what you're doing.

Thanks for the info/tip on the product.
I quickly ran through some of the reviews and they were pretty positive overall. I read the ingredient list and understood half of them-but will read up on everything I don't know. I have to be careful in many respects now in life what can even be absorbed into the body and then having the liver for example has to deal with it.

I would absolutely gag if I was to drink pickle juice=no kidding. I hate pickles or anything pickled-gag me now.

The rest is basically what we eat as a menu-the Mrs saw the pickle juice SEE LOOK!! PICKLE JUICE!!!

I read where the cattail root is dried them crushed to make a flour. I'd really want to know if the water was clean/clean before I ate them.

Pickle juice is yummy... mind you only if it's from fermented pickles the old fashioned way not the vinegar commercial ones.
