Morning WD & Jim. :coffee2:

Best of luck with your fishing WD... how's your case of poison ivy this morning?

Jim, how's that sick chick of yours fairing these days, hopefully up and chirping? :laughing7:

Been following the discussion regarding Simon... if he was born in 1924, that would make him 96 years old wouldn't it?

Well sir, I work for my husband, so my services will still be needed. He told me he was ready for a stay at home wife. Which translates that he wants supper on the table when he gets home from work. But, yea, a digging I will be anytime I want. [emoji4]

When I decided to rap up the company I told the Mrs I figured it all out-and told her.
She replied what's in it for me? (being the warehouse widow)
I replied I'd take over the kitchen.
DEAL!!!
So on my last day I walked in and she said there you go-with the sweeping arm motion towards the kitchen.
Ah :icon_scratch: Well aren't you going to cook on my last day?
:icon_scratch: Well aren't you going to cook on my first day?
OOPS-We forgot to do the change over day-so we went out for a wood oven pizza.:headbang:

Though the thing is I can't do the work-and feed, so she does the cooking to feed the machine still.

But I want to change that over in the near future again as I'd rather feed than work.

Retirement is tiring.....

It seems that when food is put in front of her she eats like she's starving-then that's it. Lays down again and rests-so it's a struggle to keep her up and going. Under weight and it seem that she eats just to stay on this side, so I don't hold much hope.
We're going to give "George the rooster to the dock contractor to help breed his 4 hens.
The big one is going to the cooking pot and we'll keep the smaller rooster.
The white one pecked the Mrs in the arm yesterday-then nailed me in the leg in the barn a few minutes later. What he didn't realize was there was a knee jerk response by the size 13 boot toe!
He felt that one and the mind was set that he was on the list to go to a new home.

Simon's profile say April 24-I'm thinking that is the day-not the year.

Good morning Tnet

Morning AARC, pepperj and WD

Morning ARC and Rook.

Thanks for the update on your sick chick Jim, sorry to hear the prognosis isn't looking good.
Roosters, they're just full of attitude and mean... hey, that sounds a lot like my wife. :laughing9:
I'm just kidding... about my wife that is. :laughing7:

Simon was my biggest fan.....God bless you buddy....I hope your ok my friend !! He encouraged me and supported me more than anyone on T-net !! He always sent me PMs with encouraging words....and support. He had me looking forward to post my finds no matter how mundane my hunt was. He always left a comment.....and I always looked forward to it. Perhaps they will know something on "the real de tayopa" thread. He was a big fan of Kanacki and crow. Such a kind hearted animal lover also....I hope his pets are ok too ! It tears me up to think he's gone !! Hopefully he's hanging at the man cave waiting for tom to show up !!

Morning Bart:hello:

How the property, wood, boats all doing this morning-hope all has past and you can now take down those shutters for good this season.
Also I really hope you can secure some extra play time to see if there's a deep cut, revealing a little treasure gift.

Ah so true Bart. I sometimes wish that the connection that we have/share wasn't so distant.

WD Hows your arm doing?

I carry the little prep alcohol wipes in the pocket when detecting. If I suspect that I touched the Ivy I will rub the site with the wipe to take the oil off. Worked out pretty good over the years, little blister is way better than big blister.

So, it's spread pretty good around the wrist, due to my scratching. Msbeep's aloe tip really works! So , I am good now. I never reacted to the stuff until I turned 50.

Thanks for asking. Anti, maybe it might work on the shingles? :dontknow:

April 24 is, as Jim stated, the day not the year. Here's the post where Simon stated his age.

The standing joke with in our circle of family and friends is that MR Wd couldn't even fix himself a PB & J sandwich. He would starve to death w/o me to cook. I will always be chained to the stove. :laughing9: At least Bill was able to teach me how to cook! :notworthy:

Jim,

Good morning I remember once that Simon said he was a bit younger than me. I was born in 1950 so him being 68 or so sounds about right.

It seems that when food is put in front of her she eats like she's starving-then that's it. Lays down again and rests-so it's a struggle to keep her up and going. Under weight and it seem that she eats just to stay on this side, so I don't hold much hope.
