Thank you Rook.
To say it's been difficult since our dog passed in May would be an understatement.

Being house-bound due to Covid, the loss of my job and then our dog's passing, we all needed this puppy to make our house a happy place again.
She's sleeping next to me in her new bed as I'm writing this post.

Yes puppies then dogs. Sadie turned 1 yesterday. We took an extra long ride yesterday morning in the dark.But ah today with the time change we can see tons more stuff. I didn’t think at my age I could handle a new pup but so far it been fun.

I don't want to jinx it, but every time we've taken her outside she goes both peep & poop.

Unfortunately, she did get car sick on the drive home and froked-up on my daughter.
I won't post a pic of that until after I've had my breakfast.

You can't complain that you were sold an empty dog. L.o.l..

A body position in line with the vehicle axels can help. Vs fore and aft. But , pups can be overwhelmed with scent in a vehicle in addition to the motion , and the world rushing by...

Mornin all!
Wind is high. Pellets of snow like a busted bean bag chair.

A doe browsed into the back yard yesterday when I was on the deck with the bulldog.
I kept petting him to distract his attention while she sampled choke cherry leaves.
He spotted her after about ten minutes.
And sounded off.

Deer often like confirmation by another sense , so not to be running around after catching an individual scent ,or sight ,or sound.
Not this one. She boogied!

We had some accumulated chicken bones in the freezer and roasted them up added some fresh veggies and veggy scraps from the freezer to make a tasty stock.

This a.m. before my walk I peeled 4 lbs of onions and then the missus took over French onion soup for lunch. Should be tasty.
