I’ve been n a tornado which isn’t fun but never a hurricane.
I guess the closest thing regarding a warm weather event was a tropical storm (Hurricane Isidore)in 1984 during a stay in Ft.Lauderdale.
Basically the banging on the room door the next morning became a realization that in fact the ocean was in the swimming pool outside the room.
The Samsonite suitcases were floating around on the floor of the room.
We were told in no certain fact was to get our ass out of there-toot-sweet.
Looked out at the car that was ok, but the palm tree laying behind it wasn't.
All I remember was having a few Bacardi the night before at the hurricane party at the bar.
Cold weather events-sober as a judge-antifreeze in the motor vehicle not in the body.
